Mai did a good job, however the color was just not what I had asked for. I reached out to her that same night to explain and politely asked if we could adjust the color and touch it up. She responded right away and saw me the next day to fix the color, free of charge. I'm much happier with my hair now and very grateful that she adjusted it! The staff offered me snacks and Miriam especially was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable when washing my hair! Downsides, my hair does feel very dry and damaged now. They were pretty busy and my stylist was alternating between me and two other women, even though I had an appointment. It kind of felt like they forgot about me at times and they left the color and bleach in my hair for a very long time without checking on me regularly. Overall, I'm not sure that I will return because it is fairly expensive. But I do really appreciate Mai fixing my color!

The second time I went for a hair color appointment and it was just as quality of a service. We talked through color options before she settled me in with the iPad and a coffee. I usually react to hair dye formulas so I've accepted it as part of the experience if I want my hair colored. But I walked out without any staining on my face and no reactions either. It was honestly such a great experience I can't wait to go back and do something else!!

Pro and Con. Pro:…read more - The online booking system makes it a clean easy way to schedule your appointment. Con: - Also the online booking system. It isn't clear from Yelp when you are going to hear back and if your appointment is booked until you jump through several hoops. It's only after you do all that that its clear. Pro: - The person cutting seems professional and sweet Con: - Absolutely EXPENSIVE. $90 starting price and up depending on the needs. I get that but she charged my daughter $120. For what? Because her hair was long. OK, if we had special needs or she wanted to cut a lot, etc. maybe it's more work. However, we just cut 2 inches all the way and had bangs. That's it. Nothing else. No color. Nothing. In what way does her long hair make a difference? it doesn't. It was a rip off and my daughter said 2 days later after giving it time that it was only Mehhhh.

Finally found the spot for long Men's Asian Hair Perms!…read more If you're looking to transition away from traditional fades and buzz cuts and want a medium-to-long styled perm done right, save yourself the trial and error and book here. I brought in reference photos for the longer perm style I was aiming for, and my stylist, Hanah, immediately understood the vision. Her energy is bright, welcoming, and super attentive. Yumi was also assisting throughout the process--both of these ladies are absolute rockstars. They constantly checked in, asked great questions, and made sure I felt completely comfortable from start to finish. Coming from someone who has tried numerous barbershops, the difference in quality here is night and day. A lot of standard barbershops use harsh perm products that leave your hair damaged, and they often lack the specialized technique required for medium-to-long men's hair. Getting a natural, well-executed perm takes a specific skillset, and Hanah and Yumi have it down to a science. Beyond their technical skill, the vibe in the studio is so fun and relaxed. Men shouldn't feel intimidated or out of place stepping into a hair studio for longer styles--these ladies make the experience effortless. Huge thanks to Hanah and Yumi. I will 100% be back! Show them some love and check them out!

Do not come here for hair coloring/dyeing services…read more I wasn't going to leave a review because I know it's not easy to run a business. But after thinking about it for a week, I decided this warning is necessary for others so they don't lose their money. The day before, I DM'd Yumi that I wanted babylights framing the face. I also showed multiple inspo videos during the in-person consultation. Instead I got 2 thick streaks of highlights around my face like Rogue from Xmen, which looked nothing like the inspo video. After I pointed it out, the highlights were dyed darker to tone them down. But as the color fades, the highlights will show again and I'll have to spend more money to fix my hair. I paid $345 for the total look ($300+ tip). If a stylist isn't familiar with a technique or can't do the requested look, they should be honest and inform the client.

Don't let the small unassuming salon fool you, Alice is very talented. If you're looking for a well blended and toned balayage and baby lights, she's your girl. She also gives great haircuts. I've been to salons where the stylist is great with color but cuts were just ok. Alice is great at both! She works by herself but is very efficient. I don't spent all day in the chair, she really gets to work and gets it done. She's also very careful with her work. I can tell in the care she takes as she's working on my hair.
