Neither the therapist nor the referring NP have time to discuss my therapy plan. Therapist says it's not her place to discuss it. I have not seen any improvement from using the PT department here. Maybe the doctors are wonderful, but the place is a poorly run business. i

During the visit, she experienced treatment that both she and I believe was influenced by prejudice. The lack of compassion and coldness while addressing her is something she has never experienced from a surgeon or doctor before. Every symptom and issue she described, he repeatedly insisted was a mental health concern and that she should consult a psychiatrist. Her recent medical history could not have been fully reviewed because she has already seen two psychiatrists, as requested by the insurance company. Both psychiatrists determined that she is competent and that her ongoing and severe pain is not a psychological issue. He claims to have studied her most recent MRIs, yet both scans she has had in the last six months show that she has arthritis, a tumor, and degenerative disc disease. The DDD is causing her L4 and L5 bones to grind against each other. Yet he looked my mother in her face and said "you are not in pain and need to seek a psychiatrist." He also stated that the discectomy that she underwent surgery for in 2023 for a bulging disc was "unnecessary and useless".

Dr. Thiel is one of the most uncaring doctors I've ever had the misfortune to wait 8 months to be…read moreseen by. And I've waited a lot of time to see a lot of uncaring doctors. I could tell by the expression on her screwed up scarecrow face when she walked in the door that she wasn't going to hear me out, but I did my best to give her the fair shot she didn't give me. Let's start with the facts: although I specifically got imaging done so that it would be READY for her to look at during the appointment, she only offered to look at it if "I REALLY wanted her to" (yes, bitch, I want you to look at my MRIs, that's what I waited 8 months to see you and paid thousands out of pocket for them), then, she did the same tests as any nurse in their first semester of school would do (listened to my heart, lungs) and FINALLY, she wrote in my notes, without discussing it with me, that she believed the true cause of my symptoms (that she refused to regard as neurological) was because of lifestyle factors that were untrue (she had zero evidence of this and just made it up, remember, she did zero testing). I only found out from a nurse who was kind enough to tell me what she wrote in my file months later. After being devastated beyond words by her lack of care, professionalism, and willingness to write whatever she wants in her patient's notes, I reached out to my the community and found that my experience with her was a common one. I received a recommendation from someone who believes their mother would have lived longer if they hadn't wasted time and energy on Dr. Thiel. Their recommendation was Dr. Ruth Fredericks. Dr. Fredericks listened to me with compassion and did a NUMBER of tests that she told me she assumed Dr. Thiel did (she did not) and immediately diagnosed me with several conditions. She has been an outstanding neurologist and has managed my case with care, attentiveness, and kindness. Unfortunately, I had to wait quite a while to get in with her as well, but it was completely worth it. If I had known what kind of person Dr. Thiel was from the start, 15 months of my life could have been spent managed under the care of a doctor with integrity. I will NEVER wait for an appointment with a doctor I haven't read extensive reviews on. And I have this review saved to my notes and will be checking to make sure it stays up. If it's deleted, I will repost, with a screenshot showing when it was originally posted. I hope one day you need a doctor as badly as I needed you and they tell you to go screw yourself in the same manner you told me. And write some made up bullshit in your patient file to screw over your credibility with every doctor you see after. Good luck with your clearly miserable life! I absolutely love The Headache Center. I have been suffering from chronic migraines for about 13…read moreyears. My boss, who also suffers from chronic migraines, suggested The Headache Center to me. By that time, I had already been to multiple specialists and gone through a variety of medications with no success. They worked with me until we found something that worked. I'm currently receiving Botox injections for my migraines, and it has been the only thing I've tried that has truly helped my migraines. The staff is extremely helpful and kind, and I'm so happy that I go to The Headache Center.

The team here is good about working hard to find customized treatments that make the biggest…read moredifference. But now that they are more $ucce$$ful, they have decided to overbook patients on the same time slot. They don't have any buffer times to take new patients or see urgent patients (something that should absolutely be accounted for considering that migraineurs have flare ups), so your appointment can and will get bumped, plus they close at 4:00 (half day on Fridays) (must be nice) so be prepared for a long wait. When asked about this, they are unapologetic and full of justifications and excuses instead of trying to improve. It's sad when a clinic cares more about maximizing profit over respecting patients. They do provide decent migraine care though.
