This church has a long history. The parish was first mentioned in documents in 1139. The construction of this sandstone church began in the second decade of the 15th century. The nave was completed in 1435. The two towers of different height which is typical of Gothic architecture, and roofing are probably from the same period, typical of Ansbach. After the Protestant Reformation swept through the region, the first Lutheran service was held here in 1525.
Interior is white with many windows, so even on a cloudy day, it is light inside of this large church. Exterior feels like a massive stone with unique feature like the war memorial of 1914-1918 on the wall of the church. read more
