This is without doubt a rough and ready old school transport cafe. It is clean but basic. The fry up was good with steaming tea served in a chipped mug. The prices are very reasonable and you do get a good old plate full of grub. The kids had a toasty and bowl of chips which could have fed them twice over. There were some local characters eating there as well which made for an interesting fly on the wall experience. This kind of cafe is hard to find these days and although it will not be to everyone's liking it is for me a bit of a blast from the past and it reminded me of how England was 25 years ago all be it minus the choking clouds of fag smoke!
