Very disappointed. Went in for a slight makeover. I'm in my 30's and it was my 1st time ever I went…read morein with a collection of pictures to explain what I wanted(mostly for color). I always wanted to be a read head and was ready to be spunky and spontaneous. Appointment set up. I haven't cut or colored my hair in over a year at this point. Excited! My appointment was with the owner. You would assume she is highly skilled and knows what she is doing. (Found out after that many people believe this to be untrue) Base color in! Hair cut! Some highlights! And then the reveal.... I had 4 thick streaks of bright blond going across my head - The highlights. The red that was supposed to be in my hair was barely noticeable. And the haircut was less then average. App. The reveal I noticed the last highlight on the back of my head seemed extremely bright! The owner explained the situation I detail that her husband installed the fluorescent ceiling lights in bad spots which throws off bad lighting when you are sitting in the chairs and looking in the mirrors. She then brought me across the shop to another station that had 'better lighting' (more like barely ANY lighting) to show me that the highlight only looked loud from that 1 light. I thanked her, said I likes it and left. In the few weeks after my appointment the 'red' in my hair was still barely noticeable. More like a stain on my own natural color. The haircut didn't do nothing for me. Lifeless and not that flattering. The highlights on the other hand got blonder! I went from a brunette to blond weeks after the appointment. This I don't understand... I don't ever want to be blond. The highlight on the back of my head turned out to be one massive glob of a highlight almost 2 inches. (Oh yea! She said she was in a hurry and barely had time to put the highlights in but yet sat there for 15-20 minutes curling my hair with a tool she has never used before.) That chunk of a highlight was one of the hardest things to cover up. So I gave up and went to Walmart and bought a red dye and sis my hair myself and fell in love! So to Christine Swanson... Don't razor cut someone's hair unless you know how it should be done. Making thin hair even thinner. Rant over Thank you.

Little did I know that I already found it! Kaye has done my hair whenever I've gone there, and she's fast and efficient, doesn't ramble on about personal crises (as I've had stylists do many times before), and best of all, she gives the best cut I've ever had. She really listens! She doesn't impose her ideas on me, but she'll make suggestions, ask questions, etc. I've had stylists who were so busy admiring themselves in the mirror that they cut my ear! And not just once! Fantastic Sams and Kaye are my go-to from now on!

However she overbooks her clients and I've had to wait at times, 30 minutes, I would say the majority of the time. She seems scatterbrained and rushed. When you go in to pay for your hairto be done, you want to enjoy your time there. What good is an appointment if you can't enjoy these things? So today (04/24/21) I had an appointment which was in my name, but I told Becky on 04/10/21, that my daughter was taking that appointment. My daughter is graduating in the next 2 weeks and needed her hair done before her special event. Becky confirmed on the 10th that I still had the appointment. My daughter went in today for the appointment and then came back home upset 30th minutes later. Imagine my surprise. I asked her why she was home and her hair not done and she said that Becky was at the shop (which was closed) with her family and told my daughter she had no such appointment. She said Becky seemed unconcerned, unapologetic, and not helpful. Needless to say I'm not happy. I told my daughter to find another hairdresser. Hopefully we can find someone who cares a little more and who has the time and is not rushed.
