Hector was great, the previous barber was starting to part the cowlick in the back of his head in the wrong direction, so he quickly advised me and corrected the problem. I'm so glad he did, huge difference, the style became easier to comb and looked great. Mom noticed as soon as we got home. So needless to say only Hector will cut his hair lol. As for me, unless Dave kicks me out his chair, I will be his steady customer. The guy takes pride in his cuts and it shows in the quality of his work. The kind of barber you are not afraid of taking advise and rolling with it. He is great at what he does!! Remember it is a men's barbershop, these guys are in there atmosphere waiting on us. Could hear some guy talk flying around but no big deal. They keep it Y7 lol.

Yes, the language can get a little out of control at times but, it's a men's barbershop - so deal with it. They are all professional and courteous. I have been coming to Leonard's for almost 20 years now (I'm 28) and it is by far still the best haircut that I've ever received. You will not be disappointed and best of all, you don't have to be a regular to get a quality cut. Leonard treats EVERYONE as a regular, possessing the bravado and one-of-a-kind swagger which makes the experience even that much more enjoyable. It is very hard to find a barbershop which does it old school like Leonard's. Barbershops might "look" the part, or try to take on a homely feel when you first walk inside, but it's not just the decor which makes this place feel like home. It's the character that Leonard has cultivated over the years which makes you feel like you can relax and gather yourself for a second, before heading back to the rat race that we all call "life." I highly recommend just stopping by one day and seeing what it's like to get a haircut here. You will be ensconced in an old-world culture - with new-age clippers - that does not disappoint. And oh yeah, the haircut is pretty good too.

Eventually found it. I paid for all this pleasure. Never, ever go to this place.

I love this barbershop. It reminds me of when I was a kid, going to a shop with my father and grandfather. That's what you'll see when you go to Little Joe and John's. Look, I understand there are sick people out there and there are many worse things than a bad haircut experience. Haircuts (good or bad) is not the end of the world either way. As a parent I'm just glad my son is healthy, everything else is secondary. I don't write reviews often (if ever), unless I have a disaster of an experience and wish to warn others. The following is perspective for those who may consider going here with their own child, expecting a friendly / welcoming staff and environment.... [insert expletive]'ing SCARY experience for my 2 year old boy. Guy cutting his hair was older. Told him just a trim. I repeat -- "just a small trim" (like, not a normal haircut because he has curly hair and we don't like it too short). He started chipping his hair like crazy. But, not before repeatedly spraying water in my sons face and eyes, while flexing his big scissors in his face. My sons was literally flinching while the barber held him back. Scared him with everything. My son is 2! I asked the guy to take it easy. Then it got ugly. He KEPT GOING. Didn't stop cutting his hair, shorter and shorter. The told the guy to just STOP cutting his hair. HE KEPT GOING! I was kind of shocked looking around like, WTF is going on here -- I couldn't believe the guy?! Finally I asked him to just STOP! And he stopped. Look, again, a good or bad haircut - my son is healthy any doing ok. Hair grows back. It just seriously bothers me how the guys here handled such a young boy while completely disregarding his parent. I'll never in a million years ever go here again myself, certainly never again with my son, and I would like to warn others to please stay away. Recommending "Snips For Pips" (child haircuts in Ridgewood) or other, similar types of places for young children. [insert expletive] HORRIBLE!!!

I specifically looked through all the barbershops in the area to see ones with Asian reviews because cutting Asian hair is uniquely challenging...apparently. Anyhow, it turned out great; Dylan understood exactly what I was going for, let me know how he cut it in certain areas, and was a very easy to work with. True professional and expert in his craft. What I thought would be a one-time visit to this shop turns out to be one I'll have in my rotation. It's good to have options and having availability when I need it is probably my number one priority.
