We opted to release the reservation and go back towards Stanley for a better camping experience. If you're an RV camper of a certain demographic- this might be a great place- but it was not for us. The website needs to be more clear on their "tent" sites and what is available before next summer. Staff is nice, and the RV section looked well Maintained, but the tent sites again- problematic.

I had the pools to myself for an hour before others came. Both have a rock bottoms and steps to get in and out of. One is small and hotter, the day I was there it was 105 and the larger one was 95. Changing room at both. Toilets at the larger one. With the $7 you can to two other areas nearby (Land of the Yankee Fork & Bayhorse). The staff was friendly. The is also camping and RV spots. I believe if you do either of those you can use the pools as well. I would come back if in the area. Great find.

This is a BEAUTIFUL campground on Little Red Fish Lake in Stanley, Idaho. It's fairly small,…read moreprobably less than 10 camping spots on the whole site, so if you snag one...you are a lucky duck (all sites are first come, first serve). This campground has gorgeous pines throughout and sits right on the edge of Little Red Fish Lake. Cost: I came here with a fairly large group of people (16), so we had to snag two camping spots. They only allow one car per site, but you can purchase extra parking passes if necessary. We paid $18 per spot per day and $9 for each additional car. (You'll want to bring cash with you to pay, as there is no way to pay for the sites via cc or check!) ETC: - No showers (wah, wah), but if you're going into the Idaho wilderness, you might as well be ready to rough it, amiright?? - They do however have bathrooms with stalls, a sink, and a mirror (for a camp-sight, these bathrooms are very well kept and clean #PRAISE). - Access to drinkable water. - Firewood for purchase on sight ($7 a bundle). - Each camp-sight comes equipped with a firepit and picnic tables. - Bonus: lots of trees, so if you have a hammock, be sure to bring it along with you!

We had the most wonderful dinner down stairs at Limbert's it was delish, so was breakfast. The grounds are so well keep with hiking, boating and kayaking available. The lodge sits on the edge of the lake which is so beautiful and you see the Sawtooth in the background. This was a fun trip.

Absolutely spectacular views of snowcapped mountains with lodgepole pines as far as you can see. There are 16 spacious campsites, no hookups, pump water well, pit toilets, reservations for $14 a night through https://www.recreation.gov/camping/stanley-lake-campground highly recommended. It is wonderfully peaceful and absolutely breathtaking. Fishing was great, the lake allows motors although we only saw a few kayaks. Husband caught a few trout and they were yummy. The views of the mountains will keep you captivated for hours. We camped in our very large 30 for trailer and fit just fine. Host was very nice and sells firewood for $7. The very small town of Stanley is close by with gas, a couple restaurants and a market, but bring what you need because there isn't a lot of choice. This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have ever stayed at.

How the heck is the highest hike in Idaho not listed or reviewed on Yelp?!…read more Maybe because cell service is bad out here? Borah Peak is apparently known to locals as Mount Borah. It's a mostly non-technical hike. There is a short section of scrambling that will feel hard if you are used to only walking on trails. Anyone with even the tiniest amount of rock-climbing experience, will find it not only easy, but fun! The trailhead offers a few formal campsites. Importantly, it offers no water, be sure to bring more than you think you need! We were hit by multiple afternoon thunderstorms, but systems tend to roll in and out of this area quickly. There were also lots of wildfires in the area, which lent a subtle haze to everything. Summit views are incredible. Many of the surrounding mountains look much more impressive than Borah! There is also a summit sign that you can hold for your selfish summit selfies: it cleverly says "Borah Peak" on one side and "Mount Borah" on the other. I inform, you decide. I think it took us maybe 6 hrs up, and less than half that down. We camped at the trailhead after the hike. Most folks seem to get an alpine start on this peak. By that I mean about 4am. I know this, because I had to use the restroom and the formerly quiet campground had turned into Everest basecamp! If you are worried about being slow or about afternoon thunderstorms, this is a good choice. If you're on the faster side and like hiking out with a headlamp, I highly recommend a brunch start to beat the crowds.
