My mother signed a contract for a fence totaling $9,200. We paid $8,200 upfront. After months of delays, repeated promises, and numerous scheduled completion dates that were not met, demands for more money the project remains unfinished. Throughout the project, we received multiple explanations for the delays, but the fence was still not completed. We have saved our contract, text messages, photographs, and Ring camera recordings documenting the timeline and the condition of the project. Because the work was not completed as agreed, we have terminated the contract, requested a full refund of the money paid, and have consulted an attorney regarding our legal options. This post reflects our personal experience. We encourage anyone considering hiring this company to do their own research, ask for references, verify licensing and insurance, and carefully review any contract before making a payment. The deck has failed miserably! After 11years, the pressure treated wood has rotted, it is not safe. We are just waiting for our building permit and the stairs and deck will be replaced, but not Prestige! The actually offered nothing as far as a warranty or even a break on a rebuild! I was told by Alex, if they replaced the failure of the installations they have done, the company would go bankrupt! Now, not all the decks and other structures they have done have failed as horribly as ours. They did offer me an estimate to do a new deck, my answer was no even though they cheaper than the company we are using! Alex also told me it was not his companies fault but the government because the arsenic was removed from pressure treated wood. H e did fail mention that the grade of wood that was used was not not premium wood. They used cheaper wood but still charge for a superior product, that is the only explanation for such a horrible failure. They should have offered to replace the structure at their cost if they cared at all about customer service. And no, we didn't count on it the replacement being paid for, we are completely prepared to cover the cost!

After reaching out for an estimate, Joe came to our home, took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, and offered helpful recommendations. He measured everything and even sketched out a plan for the project. Shortly after, Bethany followed up with a detailed quote, including a manufacturer's product handout, and helped us get everything scheduled. We ran into some terrible weather during the original installation window, but Bethany kept us well-informed with updates and worked with us to adjust the timeline. Her communication made the delay much less stressful. On installation day, Luis and his team arrived right on time and got straight to work. First rate. They were professional throughout from the estimate provided by Bethany to the installation team to the timing and clean up. Joe himself was there at times to supervise. We had a slight miscommunication about the style of a tall privacy fence 20x10' backing up to our patio and when the initial fence was not as I expected they fixed it without any pushback or complaint. Joe said they want to deliver what customers want. No extra cost. You don't hear that very often these days. Anyway, I would recommend Joe Phillips 100%. The fence Mr. Phillips constructed for us was excellent! Our fence has not needed repairing in over 5 years. Mr. Phillips made some minor repairs this year, 2023.. Thus far, we have been pleased with their work. Our neighbors admire our fence. We have used Joe Phillips Fence twice. Once for a 6' chain link in the back yard about ten years ago and in March 2023 for a horizontal wood fence in the side yard. Both times they were quickly responsive with an appointment and written estimates. Bethany was on top of coordinating everything! The crews were excellent and friendly. I am very happy with the fence installed at my new home in Earlysville by Joe Phillips Fence Company. I needed a fence that would contain my dogs and look nice. I also needed gates wide enough and placed appropriately for large mowers and possible service vehicles.
