Dropped by on our way through Iron Belt. It was a smaller space and very busy, but the bartender did her best. We had the cheese curds, siracha wings, Mac and cheese, and deluxe pizza. Joany's is a real gem of a spot run by some of the nicest folks ever met. Now one reason my friends and I chose this spot is because the reviews kept saying silly panties - it's a shot, and Joany makes about 10 different types? Of course we tried them and did a shot with the owner, and they were amazing. The Bloody Mary with the shorty beer is such a great move - nice crisp pickled veggies and ice cold millers, YUM. The food was outstanding - blue cheese burger was so delicious made with quality meat. The REAL move here is the corned beef, which is housemade and my entire friend group inquired how to make it because it was stupendous. Amazing homemade food. Gnocchi was tender and flavorful, broasted chicken was hot and juicy, and the pasty was the best we've had. The staff is friendly and outgoing. The restaurant is clean with a good vibe. Prices are fair. We will definitely be back. read more

Would give no stars if possible. Came in and ordered an app and dinner and got drinks. The staff was seen standing around and vaping in the kitchen while we waited for the appetizer order that would never come. Another group came in after us and did get all their apps though. After an hour and a half and watching that large group get and finish their food (though they did forget an order in that group too), we decided to go ahead and leave. Stopped here while snowmobiling late in the season. The place was packed but we were able to get a table near the bar. Food was real good and the bartender lady was great despite being overwhelmed. Will go here again. read more

Wow! Where do I begin?! For starters, it's a bar. If you're looking for very good Italian food / bar food thats affordable with a rustic ambiance this place may be for you. Definitely a snowmobiler, skier vibe. In fact, if you use the word "ambiance" more than once a week, you may want to dine elsewhere, lol! Starters were delicious: crisp, golden onion rings and tender chicken wings with a selection of sauces. Soup of the day was a scrumptious creamy chicken and rice with mushrooms. I should have had a bowl instead of a cup. Entrées were very good as well. Several in my party had various HOMEMADE pastas and sauces; ravioli and gnocchi being the biggest hits! I had the king prime rib that was cut with a fork tender and cooked spot-on: medium rare. Drinks were good. Great selection although I thought my first vodka gimlet was weak, but I had been making them at our hotel prior to leaving for dinner, so that's probably due to user error, lol! The highlight of the evening was of course: Joanie! A quick witted, kind and jovial owner like no other! Quick with a joke or a story. Always a smile! A gracious, kind hearted and affable grandmother type who was certainly the life of the party. Fun, fun, fun! Evenings have a relaxed party atmosphere (hoping someone out there will understand that). Joany herslef is usually there, and she's a party gal. Daytime is for families there (and the food is quite good), but nighttime is for adults only. Sometimes there's karaoke offered (a blast), and sometimes it's just the jukebox (still a blast, especially when Joany starts singing along with the "blue" songs), and sometimes it's just one of the bartenders chatting with the customers or Joany telling one of her infamous jokes. Every time my husband and I have been in the bar service is quick and friendly, and everyone is your pal, whether you know them or not. I don't get out there nearly enough, but I have many great memories of fun times at Joany's. If you go at night without the kids, make sure you ask Joany about her Silk Panties (her own liquor creation). She has over a hundred different flavors of them, and she knows in an instant just the right one to make for you if you're unsure about what to have. read more

This was the only bar in town worth going too. We were in town 5 days snowmobiling. The bar itself is good size and is fun. Joany and Alyssa were a lot of fun and made great drinks. I recently visited Joany's again over the 4th of July. Introduced some family and friends to this crazy atmosphere. They fell in love with it, as I did the very first time I went there. Very sassy staff,(especially Joany) and just a ton of fun. The food is great. And don't forget to order a "Silk Panty". Just ask Joany or the bartender for one and they will take care of you. Joanny's is just down the road from White Cap Inn Ski Mountain. I would recommend them to any age diner. Our 8 and 6 year old enjoyed the Good Food and upbeat WI atmosphere.
