Stuart has been the most amazing family lawyer I could have imagined. I came to him broken because…read moreI had given everything to try and make things work for the sake of my kids. At the end of the day things failed and they were taken from me abruptly. Stuart knew exactly why to do, told me how we were gonna do it and we'll prepared me. When we stepped into the court room I was very nervous while at the same time awe struck watching him plead my case and bring to light the inaccuracies of the other party. When all was said and done I had my kids back and I had equal and fair time. Without him I'm not sure where I would be today and I owe him more than I could ever give. Thank you Stuart. I heavily recommend Stuart's services as he is incredibly intelligent about law and know exactly what needs to be done and how to do it. Since my initial divorce and custody trial, I have used Stuart for a few modifications and enforcements as well all with what I consider wins in the book. The last thing I will say is that Stuart doesn't look at the case as a win or lose but what's best for the kids and what's fair for the clients. He is not afraid to tell you if you are being unreasonable and what is a good or a bad decision. And HONESTY is a major deciding factor for me to continue using Stuart's services.

Instead, I found myself navigating critical safety concerns largely on my own. When I asked for assistance with filing an Order of Protection, I was told that "wasn't what I hired him for." That moment revealed something I did not expect to discover in a lawyer: an unwavering belief in the limits of his role, even when a child's safety was central to the case. Throughout my engagement, important evidence I provided was not presented, court preparation was minimal, and communication about procedures was unclear. I repeatedly found myself unsure of what had been filed, what had been argued, or what to expect in hearings that determined my child's day-to-day reality. What made this even more disorienting was the tone of some of the commentary I received. Rather than focusing on legal strategy or documented concerns, discussions veered into personal territory -- including remarks about hormones and "rabbit holes" -- which felt dismissive during an already stressful time. Financially, I was billed for work that did not translate into courtroom action, clarity, or preparation. The imbalance between cost and tangible representation left me asking a question no parent should have to ask while paying for counsel: "Am I actually being represented?" I'm sharing this so other parents understand what I wish I had known: a lawyer can be physically present and yet functionally absent. Family court is not theoretical. It involves children, safety, and irreversible outcomes. Clients deserve a legal advocate who sees the gravity of that -- not someone who treats concerns as detours. I cannot recommend this firm based on my experience.

Thanks for making a very hard process easier Modern Law. I contacted Modern Law via their website yesterday (7/15/21) to book a consultation with Billie at the Gilbert location, later that same day I was contacted by a gentleman (don't remember his name) who informed me that Billie wasn't available until Monday. No problem, I was able to change the appointment but before I hung up the phone I asked if there's a consult charge and I was informed it was $250.00. My mistake, I missed that part on the form. I let him know I couldn't pay right now, money is watched very carefully by my controlling S/O. 1 - According to the ML Yelp page that the owner posted..."We offer low cost solutions, pay as you go, online webinars and in office workshops." to which none were offered, just a "OK have a good day". 2 - This morning I wake up to my S/O yelling at me why there's 2 emails from a divorce attorney sending info to my attention...absolute brilliance Modern Law. I'm sure these are sent out automatically but seriously, these weren't even legit emails...they're the marketing campaign emails telling me all about their company. Thanks for making a very hard process even harder Modern Law.
