Barbara Valene (owner of "RHP Realtors") is one that I'll stay far away from. Valene and her company have a marketing slogan: "Ready to Help People." So they want to convince you that they are sooooo helpful, and sooooo interested in you. My personal experience was way, way different. Looked to me like Valene was really interested in one person and one person only: Barbara Valene. I gathered that she was all too happy for us to come out of the experience screwed, just as long as she came out fine. As a result, I would never, ever deal with Valene - or any of her staff - if I had any other option. Personally, I would go so far as to consider buying a different house if I had to, in order to avoid this company. If I were in a situation where there was just no other option than to deal with them, I would ask myself, "Is there any possible way that these people could screw me over?" And then I would take every possible step to make sure that did not happen. By the way, the picture posted here of the attractive-looking, 37-ish woman does appear to be Barbara Valene. Only... a long, LONG time ago. Another picture on the rhprealtors.com web site makes her look maybe... 49ish? If you meet her, don't expect either one. She looks to me more like around 75. But hey, it's just marketing.
