I was flying back…read moreto NY just to get my hair done because I could not find a stylist down here who came even close to my old one. Well, that became too expensive and I continued my search for the perfect stylist. After several visits to a salon in Juno Beach and horrible cuts and color/highlight nightmares, I decided to do my homework and I am SO glad I did! I had my appt. with Danita last week and she was amazing! She spent an hour with me just consulting and getting to know me and my hair. As she was working on my hair, she told me exactly what she was doing as she was doing it! There were no surprises and I was completely at ease and trusted her 100%! My hair is gorgeous! You would never know that it was completely destroyed by the 'other' stylists I LOVE my hair again :)

Is it my fault the appointment before me was late? Did the girl who did my hair even have a beautician license? Seriously, it took her 7.5 hours to braid my hair. The receptionist was wonderful and extremely friendly on the phone. When I arrived I was warmly greeted by the staff. The salon is beautiful and clean. My new stylist Jenny gave me an honest and accurate consultation. I felt very comfortable. I was about to cut over 5" off. I had a wonderful shampoo followed by a warm towel around my neck and scalp massage. I was in heaven!! My cut was quick and exactly what I wanted! Prices include a blow dry..something I don't normally treat myself to. Most places charge extra. I was so happy with the end result I started to cry. My hair was gorgeous. I felt beautiful!! A huge thank you to my new stylist Jenny and the staff at Avant Gard Salon. It was the best salon experience I have had in quite sometime!

They do not understand color. Please save your money and go somewhere for professional color…read moreservices. I went in asking for a specific balayage in cool tones for my brown hair and walked out with.. red hair and possibly some highlights (after paying $200 too!) The colorist, Jordana, made excuses of course but wow, terrible job. I like to think that I am low maintenance and rarely leave reviews but this is a terrible place. Expensive and terrible. Do not spend any time or money here. UPDATE: Owner called and refused to refund for services. She made excuses for the colorist and claimed I was told what to expect. I was not told I would walk out without a balayage and with red hair. I truly believe that if another method (foils, etc.) was the way to obtain my desired look, I should have been informed as I am not the hair expert. Very disappointing. SECOND UPDATE: Owner keeps updating his comments to my review and is now lying about what the stylist allegedly said. DO NOT VISIT AVANT GARDE. The photo of the end result that I posted says it all. No salon would take your money for an"balayage" and leave your hair like this. I was NEVER told I would have "red undertones" and when I was offered a glaze, I was not told I would have red hair unless I got a glaze. In fact, Jordan's stated that the toner should do the job and I could always come back a few weeks later for a glaze. INCREDIBLE!

Lauren works incredibly fast and is so talented--I truly feel like I've finally found the perfect colorist for my hair! Not only did the color turn out amazing, but the cut and blowout were also incredible. I left the salon absolutely loving my hair! I originally found Moxie Salon through Groupon and called the salon to book with Lauren the very next day. Instead of purchasing through Groupon, I paid Lauren directly after my service since Groupon takes such a large percentage. Lauren still honored the Groupon price, which I really appreciated! I seriously couldn't recommend Lauren more. If you're looking for an amazing colorist who can also give you a beautiful cut and blowout, book with her--you won't regret it!

My friend and I recently came to this Moxie Salon location to have our hair done prior to a wedding…read morewe were attending. We had booked our appointments online the week prior and arrived on time for our appointments. Upon our arrival, the salon team was ordering lunch and told us we needed to wait until they were finished ordering. This interaction served as our greeting into the salon, and it felt extremely unprofessional. We had expected a higher level of customer service. One of us had arrived with clean hair and was ready for the styling and was ready to have it styled. The other one of us needed to have our hair washed and blown out before the styling. The hair stylists made it seem like an issue that we both wanted to have our hair styled, and of the three stylists in the salon, apparently, only one of them was going to be able to complete the hair styling. Our services felt rushed and not personalized. We both had inspiration photos of how we had wanted our hair to be styled, and neither of us had our hair styled anywhere near what we had asked for. I had to re-do my hair after the fact- it was not secure, and you could clearly see all of the black bobby pins in my light brunette hair. It did not look professionally done at all. I was disappointed in the way we were treated and the actual services themselves. We had chosen Moxie so that we could enjoy the time leading up to the wedding; however, it only led to more stress. It was not worth the $200. I would not recommend this salon based on the lack of customer service and the poor quality of styling.
