They came back this year but before they started in the neighbor's backyard, which abuts mine, I presented them with a Cease and Desist Order explaining that what they've done in the past was unlawful. I'm a senior citizen. We'll see if it works. Update: Jose, came to my house. Said he'd give my letter to his boss. Meanwhile he offered to clean up any debris that they may have caused. Of course, I accepted his offer.

The list of failures would cause a doctor to lose their license, but fortunately for Duxbury Gardeners there is no meaningful licensure in Massachusetts. Less than a year in, the stonework separated from spa, a retaining wall failed, 10 plantings died and that was AFTER the construction woes of COLLAPSING the pool company's plumbing, cutting marked underground cables, the fire pit had to be replaced (twice - "it was a known defect", why put in something that is known to be defective???) and most notably running over the septic system line despite having been informed on location (and obviously having plans) - even after being told "you know - that's not a good idea" they asked my wife anticipating that somehow women aren't intelligent. Jason is a nice guy and good crayon drawer but this company is a pure nightmare. Hard to admit making a mistake that cost this amount of money, but hopefully it saves someone else some a bigger headache. This company will leave you with a lot more to clean up than just the cigarette butts they toss on your lawn.

I was given a window of time…read morefor the scheduled visit and a representative came and evaluated the pruning work that I needed done; this was pruning, not major tree removal. I was told that it would be no problem for them and that I would receive an estimate by email. Well, August 9th came and went, no estimate. I asked for status via email to their office. I followed up on August 13th with a phone call to their office number. I was told that the estimate would be resent. Well, I never received it and never got any follow-up call. I had visits from two other tree companies and received the quotes in real-time or by the next day. Guess who didn't get hired for the job? Very poor communications and not a contractor that I'd want to hire for this type of work regardless of having "Experts" in their company name. I hired Elliott Tree of Whitman, MA who did a fantastic job at a reasonable price, and with a professional crew.

Many years ago when we first bought our home, we noticed that there was a huge tree that was…read morelisting uncomfortably toward the house. We live on beautifully wooded property and hate the idea of cutting any trees down but this one was in tough shape. If it had fallen, it would have landed on the house. Neighbors had recommended Glynn Tree Experts so we hired them and they did a terrific job. This tree was not only huge but was surrounded by many other trees so it was hard to maneuver around. Glynn came to the rescue and we were very pleased with the service they provided. The tree was cut down with no damage to surrounding trees. Fast forward to last year: we had been buying cord wood from another local company each fall for a long time, but a couple of years ago we were unhappy, as long-time customers, with what we were surprised to find was some suddenly dismissive and poor service. We decided that we would end our relationship with this company and purchase wood elsewhere. The best way to deal with bad service is to take your consumer dollars some place else. We remembered the great service we'd had with Glynn all those years ago so we called them up for a two cord order in 2014. They were prompt, courteous and with fair prices. The wood was seasoned well and we had a choice of two lengths. This year we ordered another two cords and are similarly pleased with the wood, the service and the quality. Since the wood gets dumped out of the back of a big truck into a huge pile you have to hope/assume you're getting the correct amount of wood. A cord is 8'x8'x4' and once stacked we were certainly convinced we did just fine by Glynn. (And I will add that stacking wood is truly one of my favorite activities and it's good exercise.) I do recommend Glynn whether you have a tree issue that needs to be addressed or whether you're looking for cord wood.
