This is a great spot for finding liquor late at night. I love coming here after moving to Hayward from Oakland. This is my new spot.

Be sure to check your receipts for prices. Sign on the shelf said "28.99" for a bottle of Jameson IPA, but found I got charged $34.99. Asked the employee why I got charged $34.99 instead of the advertised price, but he kept saying it was "tax". Not sure if it's a language barrier, but he wasn't very helpful. Never coming back to this liquor store again. I bought a flume on Tuesday and it wasn't hitting right. I asked my friends to try it to see if it was just me but they all said the same thing. I went to the store to see if they would compensate me. But they had no empathy for me. Even if they couldn't give me a new one or a discount a free drink would have even made it right. read more

I have a very low tolerance for alcohol. It's funny because when I'm in Vegas I can drink a lot, but any other time I get hot and dizzy. I'm not sure why this is the case, but I've learned to live with it. The other day while reading a magazine, I saw a featured drink of coffee ice cubes with two shots of Bailey's Irish Cream and decided to make the drink myself. It was delicious! All that goes to say is that I purchased the last $14 bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream from JJ's for the same price it's sold for in CVS. The customer service was nice and it's next to an amazingly smelling BBQ joint and across from a 7/11. JJ's reminds me of one of those bodegas in Spanish Harlem and I love them for that. read more

My new spot on A st. Besides the owner being hella cool. His liquor selection is on point. Asked the owner for a specific candy and since he didn't have it he took it upon himself to order in for me. Tequila and Whiskys are extensive and at good prices. Being Nicoya he carries Flor de Caña for all my Nicaragüense out there. Beer is always very cold and always have inventory. Always give JJ's Liquors four stars but those tamales they made the cheese couldn't have been real cuz it wasn't melted I mean I don't mind paying the two for $5 for Tamales but at least have the cheese melting in the tamales that's all I ask I'm not one to complain much but if something is wrong you got to call what you call a spade a spade or be fair in life and I'll always given four stars for the people there they're very nice and very hospitable but please melt your cheese before you try to sell cheese tamales have a good day read more

By far the best customer service I've ever experienced. No matter what you need they will get it for you. My family and I come here every week and they always take care of us. We've become loyal customers to the point where they gave us free tickets to the Oakland A's game with field level seats! While hoping to find a decent bottle of single malt Scotch whisky on my way home late one night, Google sent me here. Thank you Google and thank you JJ's Liquor. The bottle I bought is variously rated 92/100 and 97/100, and is easily one of the best I have ever tasted. Nearly as good as the quality of the Scotch is that they sold me the bottle for about 2/3 of the normal retail price. Needless to say, I give JJ's 5 stars and have it pinned forever on Google Maps.
