What a great little pub! The night I called in, the later it got the more people came in and its a…read morevery friendly little place. The landlord who is a distant relative (interest declared) ran the place single haned all night after the barmaid called in sick but he knew exactly what everyone in the place was drinking and in true Irish style, a wave of the hand and another round arrived! He did get chance to chat with us for a short while and just after midnight I asked what time he closed. Well he said, were usually open until late but we have a new Gard in the village so we will have to be a bit careful. He continued, as soon as he's nearly finished his Guinness, then I'll call time! I looked round and at a little table was a man sat behind his Irish Times with about half a pint left!! Plenty of craic at Clarke's pub alright! Do call in if your in the area, slainte!

The pints were decently priced and the music over the speakers was good enough to keep everything going. There was plenty of room to sit and talk once the crowd dispersed, but even standing there were plenty of places to set your drink. There are pool tables (or maybe a pool table) in the back of the pub near the bathrooms, which were some of the better kept ones I've encountered. The decor is a country style pub with low ceilings and plenty of dark nooks. Not sure what it's like on a regular night but either way stop in for a pint!

They are all very knowledgeable about the area and have some amazing stories to tell! The walls of the pub itself also tell a story, with lots of personal photos and trinkets collected over the years by the family. They also serve the best pint of Guinness in the land! It's a great spot to come with a big group of friends, there's loads of space and also a room with a pool table! The pub itself doesn't serve food, but they very kindly allow you to bring food in from the neighbouring takeaway while you enjoy your drinks which is brilliant! Always make sure to drop by when I'm in the area, it's well worth it!
