Having lived here a few years now, I think I can consider myself a curry connoisseur.
Unjustifiably, perhaps, but in any case, I still enjoy trying new Indian cuisine whenever the opportunity arises.
The dishes you'll find here are tasty, plain and simple. My only criticism is the place ain't easy to find, and when I'm ravenous, every second counts. Maybe I'm hypoglycaemic or something.
Anyway, after a few minutes of me wandering and screeching, I finally found it - if you blink you miss it, basically. It's just a doorway that leads up a stairwell to the bar and dining area. I haven't had the pleasure of eating in yet, I've only enjoyed their efficient and friendly takeaway service.
The chicken korai is always lumped with generous helpings of succulent breast meat, and the rice isn't sopping wet with grease like some I've tasted.
And I still think they have some of the best chutney tray staples in town - the lime pickle stands out for me, and I hog as much as I'm able to when presented with it. read more
