I am a Korean living in the region for work, and I should say that I really appreciate this restaurant. Each time I went there whether with my boss from Korea or with French friends, I spent an excellent moment with them thanks to the pleasant service of the host (who is actually the chef at the same time), very good food and the beautiful traditional tableware.
I totally agree that this restaurant might be quite pricy for some people who expect cheap food or who don't differenciate Asian food (which is all mixed chinese, vietnamese food, very common in France) with Korean food. But for me, I don't think it is expensive when you really know how much effort they put to serve people the real Korean food. I know how rare to find a restaurant even back in Korea which serves home made, aged Kimchi and Bulgogi, Bibimbap with home made marinade, sauce!
When I eat there, the taste reminds me of my mom.. soothes my homesick.
I had a chance to talk to the chef and she told me that her family in Korea sends her some quality ingredients and she also tries to use good local products, like black pork and duck, etc. I guess people who consider Korean cuisine as a bundle of cheap appetizers would better not go this place because they try to do the fine Korean cuisine to present the Korean culture and food! (and that's why all my invited were so satisfied and this is the only Korean restaurant in Michelin guide outside of Paris).
What's more as long as I remember, they don't charge for appetizer, it is included to the menu. I had a dinner there last week again, you should check it. read more
