ZERO STARS...It's only getting 1 STAR cuz I can't post without selecting one. 5/21@410p went to JJs. Walking in we thought they were closing because they had chairs turned upside down on the tables like they were going to mop. At a table near the door there was an older couple waiting for order when walked in. Another man was sitting at a table with paperwork on table in the corner. What first got me was I saw a young girl with large bluetooth headphones on at the sandwich making table wearing a white tank top with her stomach showing. Girl (blonde hair) who took our order barely spoke. She was dressed in a sweatsuit. No one had on a uniform. Neither girls knew the menu items and kept looking up at the sign. When I mentioned I wanted a "unwich" the blonde asked the male worker in the kitchen to look at the lettuce bucket. He seemed to scavenge through to find decent leaves while tossing out the old infront of us before finishing ordering. At this time a couple came in plus another young man and two other gentlemen behind him. As the line got longer and no sandwiches were getting finished the man in the corner table just sat there. I mention him because as we were finally leaving 33 minutes later with our food in hand the man said "Thank You". I'm guessing he's either the owner or manager. Either way, my experience working in the restaurant industry he should've got up to help take orders or make sandwiches when seeing the staff was struggling. As our sandwiches were being made and wrapped in the paper my fiancé noticed the Blonde girl cut the tape with her mouth that she taped our wrapped sandwiches in. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! Once in the car I sanitized the outer wrappings with a sanitizing wipe. It took 33 minutes to get our 2 sandwich order. I'm not on YELP, but after this experience I went on there and wasn't surprised about ALL of the negative reviews. This is the ONLY JJs near our small town and we will NEVER go here again. Went here again after a few years and it's still the WORST JJ I have ever been to hands down. I don't know how they can carry the JJ name as a franchise with the quality and customer service they give people. You walk in and it screams unclean, unfriendly, downright rude, and uhh "casual"wear for their clothes? The girl working the counter had me waiting few minutes while I watched her slowly break open rolls of pennies with no eye contact standing right in front of her. She logs in to take my order but says nothing just stares at me. A dead stare, for a good 8 seconds until I say "are you ready maam?". I get an eyeroll "Watcho order?". I would have walked out but my daughter is pregnant and had a hankering and I was on a mission. After a "FREAKY SLOW" and long moment I get my food. They are about 1/3rd the size of real Jimmy johns sandwiches. I can't believe I paid 30 bucks for this. I bas8cally got slims on day old bread, or several days old, I can't tell because they don't make their bread daily despite being a requirement for the franchise. I grew up where jimmy johns was created in Illinois outside Chicago. This place has no excuse. They NEED shut down. What a shame. They need reported to the franchise like, a year or two ago. So bad. Never going back. Had a bad experience September 21, waited until October 27 to try again. Worse. The restrooms are STILL "out of order", dirty floors, dirty tables, no tea, no one wearing uniforms, employees, therir families, kids, significant others all piled up in one corner as well as one groups worldly possessions. WTH? The food missed the mark. Warm veggies, old bread, unripe tomatoes and stingy with the meat on a sandwich that is supposed to be made with double meat. I've never seen any kind of management or leadership. I don't even know what a Jimmy Johns uniform looks like. Took 45 to 50 minutes to get my sandwich. When it came it was wrong and the unsweet tea tasted like cleaner or detergent. When I called the person who answered was not very friendly and told me it would be an extremely long time before they could replace the sandwich they sent incorrectly. With only ordering one combo and it being $16, I think it should be right! I waited almost an hour for them to not send the correct sandwich, so when I called back they said he was on the way. Called back again an hour and a half later and they still had not remade my sandwich and didn't even know what I was talking about. The lady I spoke with to begin with never had them remake my sandwich. Took over two and a half hours from start to finish to receive the correct sandwich. Very poor customer service. read more

This is the second time I have tried to order delivery from them and they call me after I pay to inform me they don't have a delivery driver...SO WHY ARE YOU OFFERING DELIVERY?! the absolute worst place ever! The absolute worst ever experience! I called in an order (the wife). My husband picked it up came home and we discovered the order was only the sandwiches. I told them several times No Mayo added and was supposed to have pickles. The tuna had mayo added when spoke to the manager he said he doesn't make sandwiches as he is the manager and the sandwiches come with mayo, all of the order was missing. The manager claimed that my husband left it on the counter. My husband said the only bag was the sandwiches. I asked since the "manager" claims the Oder was missed by my husband...why did he not hollar out the door. The "manager" claimed he had a customer. My husband says there was no one there except him and he had a hard time understanding what the person was saying. The manager said he could take a pic and send it to me at 5:30. The manager said I could drive 45 min to get the rest of the order and that it was our responsibility to make sure all of our order was correct and why did we wait so long to call in with the problem. Again 45 min drive home. I told the manager I want a refund and proof that I received a refund like a picture of the refund or voided order.... Now he had no clue to send me a picture when a few minutes previous he was wanting to send a pic of "stuff." This is the absolute worst Jimmy John's I have ever visited with a now known yelp score of 1.5. I just learned the score. I have gone from being a repeat customer to never wanting to step foot in a Jimmy John's due to the lack of service and incompetence not to mention deflecting of the situation to being the fault of the customer for the order being totally incomplete and wrong. My wife and I decided to have a late lunch at Jimmy John's after a busy morning of errands. When we walked in through the door their were three employees on their iPhones. We weren't greeted when we arrived and it took 2 minutes for the employees to acknowledge us. After that, my wife's sandwich was made with tomatoes which she requested NOT to be included. Stopped in here for supper. Most of the tables were pushed against the walls. One of the long tables had tomatoes, a big bowl, and obvious prep interrupted, but the food was just sitting out there unattended. One of the tables were taken with the remnants of a meal (staff obviously) and a jacket laid on it. There were numerous chairs pushed against the part of one wall. The only available tables for seating were one long table with one chair, one other long table with proper number of chairs, and 2 small two-seater tables, all dirty. Actually one of the small tables had a mop bucket pushed up against it on one side and another bucket on another side of it. There were potato chip boxes stacked directly in front of the cash register that she wanted us to order at. (She didn't offer to move them.) And the music was so loud that we had difficulty hearing anything she said. They took twice as long to prepare our sandwiches, and they had no unsweetened tea at all. When we finished eating at one of the tables outside and went to throw our trash away, all of the trash cans were very full. My husband & I opted to sit at one of the available tables outside. My overall impression........they didn't expect any customers at all today, and really didn't care to have any. I really hope the owner sees this. Shelby Jimmy Johns is the worst. I ordered lunch for me and my co worker for our lunch break at 11:50am. 12:30 went by, 1:00 went by still nothing . I called @130and my coworker called and was hung up on. I called again to ask what was going on she placed me on hold for 4 minutes only to come back and say they are cutting the roast beef and asked me do i still want it. This is ridiculous we had to go without our lunch for that day at work. They could of at least called or something. It is what it is - Jimmy John's - take it or leave - their subs are good but on the pricey side. I'm a sucker for the Lulu - basically a BLT with turkey on it. They try to be the "cool guy" of subs- the one who offers "free smells" and will deliver to your house (for a price$$). Don't get me wrong - I'm happy something took over the empty space (former ice cream shop) and happy to have an alternative to Subway. For a really good budget full length sub, you could just go to the Ingles deli... or to JBird's for a sammie and cold beer. read more

And here's some inside info: The owner's name is Andre. He will smile to your face and treat you rudely behind your back. Don't trust him. They fashion themselves as a step above fast food, but their staff is a revolving door because of they don't like you for whatever reason, they will cut your hours. OK, so Jimmy John's WAS freaky fast. Fourteen minutes after I ordered online, the sandwich arrived at my door several miles away. I don't like that just one eight-inch sub cost me $12 with a small tip. No drink, chips, pickles or cookies included. Just the sandwich. The $5.79 for a sandwich is too much. And it's not a plentiful sandwich, not enough even with chips and drink I ate at home to fill me up. The bread was good but not even full of toppings. And the toppings didn't appear to be any better quality than what I use at home to make my own sandwich, which is why I rarely buy from a sub shop. Finally, can we talk about that $3 delivery charge on my order?! Don't like that at all! Companies--pizza places included--should realize a delivery fee means I tip much less to the driver. Anybody know who even gets the delivery fee? So this first Jimmy John's experience will probably be my last. Now I know it's fast, but it's expensive and not all that delicious. As long as you do not deviate from the way they want to make the sandwich you will be fine. For example, do not order it without lettuce and tomato or they will mess it up. I literally told the person making my sandwich that I did not want lettuce and tomato, and when I opened my sandwich, it had lettuce on it. Even the register ticket said no lettuce or tomato. I had this happen not only once but twice. I do like the fact that the meat is all natural and do not include artificial preservatives. walked in to order lunch and was on the phone talking to my wife to decide what she wanted. once I went to the register I asked a question about a sandwich such as if it came with cheese since on the menu it did not say it did. the cashier was extremely rude, gave a disgusted face and said that it did. after I asked what kind of cheese it came with and she again gave a disgusted and annoyed look and said provolone. at this point her coworker started y because I assumed that they got kicks out of being rude to customers for no reason. I asked if the cheese could be changed since I do not like provolone, and a simple no would have sufficed for me, however I received a nasty look, a no, and "That's the only cheese we got". I was there only a few minutes and was surprised at how rude the staff was to a customer, and that they were laughing about the incident. I will try to steer everyone I know away from this place and probably never visit again. the general manager and shift managers should be ashamed of how their employees were trained and how they act towards customers. But today I noticed a sandwich prep woman with a tremendous wad of hair loping over to her right shoulder and some in front. Not my preference in what I consider an attractive hair style, but certainly her perogotive. The problem I had with her hair was that she had no cap, no hairnet. NOT THE BEST FOR SURE, Overpriced and leaves you asking the question "WHERE'S THE MEAT" as it is hidden under lettuce and tomato, snuggled in a kind of HARD BUN, so to say very crusty bread, it is fast on the upside but its not to fill you up too long. Its a fast quick bite and more veggies then meat, its great if your a vegetarian not so good if you like "MEAT" on your sandwich oh and Cheese is EXTRA COST.
