First thing that struck me was how much brighter and cleaner and better decorated it is than the one by our house and for that matter most of the other locations I've visited. Granted this one is maybe a year or so old. On this visit I decided to get the Oven Baked Italian Crostini. I've had it numerous times before and I find it to be decent sandwich. I however swap out the dressing they always put on it and will use balsamic glaze if I'm at home or if eating in, I'll ask for a side of balsamic salad dressing. The sandwich is a pretty cheap option and comes with a mound of fries. We visited in a Saturday and so I chose the daily special tall pour of IC Light. I thought everything was decent. Seemed a bit better than the one by our house. My wife ordered her go to which is the cheesesteak bomb. It's a huge sandwich that also comes with a mound of fries. Recently we've been disappointed when we've ordered them as the meat has had some gristly pieces in it which kind of makes us stop eating. But she gave it another try and thankfully had none of the gristle in this one. The restaurant was not very busy do a Saturday afternoon, perhaps because of inclement weather expected and it was the last day for students at IUP before winter break. Despite the place being fairly empty, the service was lacking a little. In summary; newer and cleaner location, food a little better, service fair.

They also have signs saying that it's family-owned and operated which my guess is to guilt you into shopping there if you are a local. One of my favorite features is the aisle with household items peppered with gambling machines and chairs. I included a picture of this. At the checkout, there are numerous signs advertising that aisle 8 has these machines. Just drive up to Martin's or Giant Eagle in Indiana.

There's your security guard for the Indiana Walmart being disrespectful and following me everywhere I went. I was at the baby station, purchasing a new car seat for my son and out of nowhere. I start to feel somebody following me and staring at me look both ways and I see this creep. To not think the worse I went ahead and moved to the other section of the baby aisle to see if he was following me. I did it about three times and then I approached him and asked him is there any issues at that moment he said I'm just waiting for my wife I did not believe one bit of what he was saying so I went ahead and keep shopping looking around the baby section I do one to two more turns and I turn around to wait for him as I do he approaches me again looking directly at me. I went to one of the managers called Matt and he told me that that was not 100% the case but what a coincidence that I was the only person in the baby section at that time. That will be my last time I step in that Walmart again.. also creep I hope everybody recognizes you on the picture and know that you are the security guard for Walmart next time do a better job.

Run, don't just walk, to little Homer City and count your blessings: if this place was in a larger town the lines would be out the door, and the prices would be twice as high--and worth every penny. As an aside--this is an EXCELLENT place to grab a light meal before riding the historic Hoodlebug Trail rail trail, which runs through town just a block or so from the front door.
