1st the guy taking the order is super rude, I lost my voice and it's slowly coming back after surgery on my vocal cords. He told me to order online I tried. I left went to order online and it's not allowing Turkey sandwiches online. So I go back in and ask if there is someone else willing to do my order. Worst experience with this local Jimmy John's. Today, ordering 2 sandwiches for my grandchildren, after opening, my grandson said, there is nothing but a couple slices of meat. Sure enough, no May0, pickles or lettuce as I requested. who pays $6 + for a bun, and alittle bit of meat. when I returned to the store, the manager said it was a "Skinny", I again said, that is not what I ordered. The staff and the manger where so rude, not caring if the customer is happy. so beware, check your sandwich before leaving the store. Rude Customer Service!!! We walked in, the guy making the sandwiches looked at us and didn't say a peep. The lady in the back finally come out to ring us up and did not greet us either. She quickly noticed we didn't give her a tip so she grabbed the receipt and trashed it. Then ran back to the back room. I said thank you when I grabbed my sandwiches and the guy just looked away. The best of the sub sandwich chains in my opinion, because of the bread. For me, I like a bread with a little character (I don't like the wonder-bread-like rolls at the other big chain). My favorite sandwich is the #5 - Vito (Italian sub) but be sure to ask for a little extra oil, vinegar and oregano, sometimes it can use a little more spice. Super fast and friendly. read more

Today i visited Hastings, mn Jimmy John's store and ordered 3 sandwiches, after getting in my car checked for my sandwich and they were all incorrect. I went back in to have them fix the sandwiches and all i got was arguing that i was wrong...unfortunately i don't have time to argue so i told the people working i would never be back as they weren't willing to get me my correct sandwiches, even though i had i paid for them. I threw them in the garbage and left. Can't believe employees are so crappy they argue instead of fixing the issue. I have no idea why their reading is so low. We've ordered from here a lot, and every delivery person has been super friendly. The sandwiches have always been correctly made and delicious. My favorite sub shop in town. And then they do little things that really go above and beyond and put a smile on your face. Like tonight, I ordered subs for the family, and I always put my name and my husband's name down for our subs and then "the boys" on the ones for my kids since they share a sub. Tonight, someone wrote "Little Dudes" on their sub and it just made me laugh. I love little things like that. It might not seem like much, but to me it says a lot. I really don't like any sub shop chain, I think they are all over-priced and over-hyped. Gourmet sandwiches? Please, unless you are a delicatessen that roasts and slices your own meats, you are not gourmet. Lunch meat is lunch meat, no matter how you slice it ( total pun intended, laugh!). BUT JJ does better than most, mainly because of their bread. I will go in and just buy their day old bread. It is chewy, soft on the inside, and textured so well. If I do choose to get a sandwich, I usually settle with the Hunter or some other roast beef variety. My advice, buy their bread and make your own sandwich at home! It will save you some $$. read more

Ordered something in the mid afternoon in Hastings mn to have for dinner later that night. When I was going to eat I realized there was an issue with my food. I called the store to inquire about the issue, I wasn't mad or anything just wanted to make sure I wasn't charged more for something I didn't get. The guy on the phone that evening said he was the manager. He was very aggressively rude to me on the phone for no reason what so ever, basically yelling at me. I was kind of shocked by this as it caught me off guard, as there was no reason for that behavior and attitude. He also barked at me that I can't call about food issues after 3 pm. Just based on that experience I will never ever go to any jimmy johns ever again. I accidentally ordered the wrong sub. & I immediately called this location & was put on hold for at least 15min. Then a female got back on the phone & asked if she could help me? & I told her that I had accidentally ordered the wrong sub. & it was delivered to me not to long ago. What I accidentally ordered was the giant country club sub. When I meant to order the giant bootlegger sub. She then told me to hold on & put me on hold for at least 5 -8 minutes. Because of my religious beliefs I don't eat pork & the country club has pork on it. & then he rudely interrupted me & asked me. What do you want me to do about it?!! & I said that all I'm trying to do is get a replacement/exchange for the sub that I meant to order because I don't eat pork. & he rudely said that's to bad but I'm not going to give you free food just because you made a mistake & ordered the wrong sandwich. & I told him that I'm not trying to get any free food. I'm just trying to get the sandwich that I meant to order in the first place. & I didn't even touch the sandwich. Y'all can have this one back & give me what I meant to order. & he said rudely. Why? Hands down the worst Jimmy Johns I've ever been to. Staff were rude right from the start. Then they made me the wrong sandwich, and proceeded to argue with me that it was what I ordered. They did finally make me the correct sandwich, but did not put sprouts on. The I asked for sprouts, cucumbers, extra turkey, oil, vinegar and pepper and what do I get? Nothing. They charged me for extra turkey but did not add any of my request to the order. I really love JJ's but they must have clowns running the place on the weekends. We ordered lunch for delivery but the driver forgot the chips. Fine, that happens. I called the store later to find out when my chips were coming and the guy answering the phone actually told me that the driver wasn't planning on coming back but he would send him since I called! This place is consistently slow with delivery. Isn't Jimmy John's supposed to be "freaky fast"? In Hastings, this is not the case. I frequently order delivery in downtown Minneapolis and get my food within 15 minutes or less during the lunch rush! We ordered for delivery from Hastings today and once again, it took over 30 minutes to receive our food. A few months ago I called the Hastings store and complained about the speed of delivery and they said they only have one driver who has multiple stops and they aren't "busy enough" to employ more drivers. This is obviously not true if it takes over 30 minutes to get my "freaky fast" delivery. This location always forgets condiments, pickles, and our request to have the sandwiches cut in half. This franchisee owner is obviously cutting corners to save money and sacrificing customer service by doing so. I've read the rest of the reviews and the slowness is consistent with this location. The people of Hastings need to stop giving this place our business so they're either forced to change their practices or either go out of business. Nothing changes because we keep paying them! Absolutely the worst business in hastings! Their delivery range is like 1/3 of hastings and even when you offer to pay 100% tip for them to drive .4 miles past there Delivery range they refuse! My house is 2.1 miles from there store and it's too far.... business definitely needs new management or to close so a better business can open in that location read more

This Jimmy John's location (Hastings, MN) is not Freaky Fast. Circa 2010, this was an efficient, friendly place to grab a sandwich in Hastings. But as of late (I would say within the past year), it hasn't felt like a real Jimmy John's. Jimmy John's, to me, means a friendly, albeit forced "HEY! HOWZ IT GOIN!" greeting upon walking in the door. When you walk into the Hastings location, no one says "hello" or even a quick "hey." The other night (Halloween), the girl working actually rolled her eyes at me when I walked in. I always get the sense I am bothering the staff there just by entering the door. This aloofness would not normally bother me, if in exchange, they provided fast service. But they don't. I am usually able to read an entire Star Tribune article (or two Hastings Star Gazette articles) while waiting for my Turkey Tom to be completed. I will give this location a couple of stars for at least having tasty sandwiches. When I eventually get my Turkey Tom, it's usually pretty good. read more

This Jimmy Johns is not pregnancy friendly, my wife called to order us supper in which she asked for the meat to be on the side so she could warm it in the microwave to kill the bacteria. The employee then started to argue with my wife on how they do not do this. We have had them do this before in the past, in which this makes me wonder do they communicate with each other? Why do this some times, and then when you won't you start a fight with a customer.
