The locals come…read morehere and enjoy the Marktfrühstück while seated on the cobblestone street, or perhaps a pie and coffee. I myself broke ranks and ordered the English Breakfast, which was an okay decision. The food itself was tasty enough, but it wasn't what I'd call authentic. Still, tasty. This is also a preferred location in Aalen for an evening coffee, or to have a relaxed cocktail before going to a more happening location. Service is friendly and laid back, which is my way of saying that I thought it was slow until I realised that I was in the quiet town of Aalen, where shops close at 1PM on Saturdays. So, no, it isn't slow per se, just...laid back. So why only three instead of four or five? Food was good, but not stellar. Coffee was good, but not great, though I do give props for pouring a proper latte macchiato. Prices seem a little high. I do have to heartily recommend the Austrian Walnut Bread. That is a fine bread and you would upgrade your breakfast/brunch experience significantly by ordering a basket of just that.

Happened sometimes that they did not know what they serve or have troubles mixing it. Still it is worth a visit even is some prices are a little too steep for a bar in a small city.

Another one of those great finds set in the back streets of Ulm Germany is this fantastic Irish pub…read moreserving all the local traditional beers along with all your old Irish favorites including the legendary Guinness witch believe it or not is very hard to find in the majority of Germany. Popular with the locals as well as just about every traveling English man from all walks of life, we met with backpackers and suited businessmen and all had a damn good evening, I will gladly go again on my next visit to Ulm. A great Pub with a very loud and lively atmosphere.

The cheese was excellent, consistently melting as you pry a piece away, that was my favorite part of the dish. A: Prosecco is prosecco, goes well with what's about to come next........ A++: Tiramisu - the best Tiramisu I've had on the trip. I believe it was homemade, because of the layers, its looks like it was made the same way you would make moose. It was presented in a cup and as I dive into with my spoon, I can see all the texture. My favorite part was the lady finger, it wasn't dry, very moist since it's been emerged in the cream. The cream was not too sweet. Just the right hint of bitterness. D : Service - I suppose it's Europa so it's expected. I waited forever until someone would serve me. I was so bored, I broke out my journal. A: Atmosphere/Location - it's located right on the river, there's two floor dinning, part of it was on the patio which overlooked the little river stream, it was crowded but pleasant. I'll definitely be back for the tiramisu, but I'll try another entree. Ok Tschus!

The management of the restaurant changed sometimes in the past years and I was there again after many years. I invited friends there who used to love the place because of the beautiful location, fantastic food and the great people who used to work there. When I saw the menu in knew something was not the same and when I got the food I was sure it was not the same place any more. I started talking to one of the people there and they told me that they changed the management of the restaurant. What a bad idea..... Don't waist your time money and precious time to go to this place. There are better places!
