Britton has pictures of the roof done by the prior owner on this site so I thought I should share…read moremy experience with him. Since he was one of the quotes we obtained and he had done work on the roof for a prior owner we decided to use him. Big Mistake!! Contract was signed to do the work on 02/28/2022. It is 06/22/2022 and I just finished filing an OAG complaint over the work that has been completed to date. The work was shoddy to be kind and did not meet the Texas minimum construction standards listed in the 2012 IRC that went into effect on 01/02/2022. The roof is poorly done I have filed a deceptive trade practices complaint with OAG!! The screw holding the roof to the decking are 1/4 of the 1 inch minimum penetration. Numerous screws are glued in as they don' thread into anything, screw spacing doesn't meet code and practically everything they cut or installed is wrong. Do not use Britton for any metal roof installation at all!! BTW this review is on the second roof. The first time around they installed the wrong type of metal and I had to tell them because they couldn't tell the difference between 1/2 inch mini rib and 7/8 corrugated which any skilled roofer should know. i have a report from a certified inspector that is 19 pages long calling out most of the incorrect work done. Response from Britton "We are not meeting any windstorm/watertight warranty requirements which is what the inspector is suggesting". Who would do a roof that is not watertight and doesn't meet Texas minimum construction standards?

Although I'm not a roofing expert, I'm a person who does a lot of due diligence, in researching my options, especially if I'm paying out of pocket, as we did, on large expenses. I researched shingles, underpayments for shingles, ventilation for my attic (crucial for any roof), including solar attic vent fans, warranties on products and craftsmanship, as well as the integrity and reputation of the contractor I'm considering. Balleza Roofing and Construction, checked all my boxes. At the completion of the job, and prior to the final inspection, the Balleza employees cleaned and hauled away all of the debris and excess trash from my property. I am extremely satisfied with our new roof. Jesus Balleza Jr., and Jesus Balleza Sr., whom I met, prior to the start of the project, are very professional and treated my home, as if it were their own. I would highly recommend Balleza Roofing and Construction, as I plan to use them for my future projects.

Jesus was such a pleasure to work with, he is so professional and courteous, always returned my calls or emails in a timely manner and so great to answer my questions. The roofers showed up on time at 7 am with a team of 6 or 7 and got the house reroofed in one day and did such a great job! I take off on Friday for the installation of the new hot water tank. On Saturday he had the trim team show up to do the flashing, painting of the roof jacks, installation of the turbines, and removal of the gutters, all the carpentry work, and installation of the new door. When the painting began the paint crew comes by to power wash the house and calking the exterior. The next day I take off and the paint crew shows up at 8 am with a team of 6 or 8 people and the house and the exterior back front door was painted in one day. There was an additional day needed to finish the front door. A special thanks to Eddie Hernandez on the excellent job he did on my front door! It looks better than the original finish and I couldn't be happier! The crews worked on Saturday's so I only had to take off two Fridays to get the jobs done. What a dedicated team that does quality work! Great job! If you are looking for a new roof or exterior painting or a company to hire for "turn-key" projects then I highly recommend Balleza Roofing & Construction. They are on my call back list for future construction projects!
