We had an amazing time for my MIL's birthday dinner. The food is typically J&N fare. Decent but not great. Except for the biscuits. Always good! Our server, Alexis I believe, she was absolutely phenomenal!!! Best person ever!!! Thank you so much for being an excellent human being! We hope to see you again soon! read more

The food was well-smoked, attractive and tasty. Presentation was on point. Our server was on the ball, friendly and helpful with our choices. Nice rustic atmosphere made us feel right at home. I'm still trying to figure the attraction of an Alabama White Sauce. It makes no sense to this guy raised on Eastern NC vinegar. We will be back when in the area. Thanks for good cue and hospitality. read more

Food and service were both good! Nice place and good Bbq, Would eat here again when in town.

Disappointed today. We have always enjoyed going to Jim N Nick's, but things have changed. They used to have a very good slightly smoky burger...no longer. So I ordered their new "smash burger ", but got served their "southern smash burger ". Not a fan, should have kept the original and it would have been a better idea to actually serve what was ordered. Sure hope they decide to rethink this. read more

Late afternoon early dinner. Husband enjoyed the brisket. But I had a stuffed baked potato. When I got to the potato it was cold like it had been baked earlier and not kept warm. The toppings were great just the potato itself was not up to par read more

Saw this BBQ place in jasper. Looked like local place. Was seated immediately but had to move. When they seat you, look for the big air vents above the seats. We had ac blowing right on us. Nope, won't work. We got reseated and ordered drinks. UNsweet tea. They brought sweet. Send it back. Got that resolved. 2 meat combo. Wanted turkey and possibly ribs. Was informed out of turkey and ribs early on a Saturday afternoon.... mainstays of a rib place and out? Ordered pulled pork and chicken. Wanted dark meat chicken. Got white meat chicken. Pulled pork was pretty good. One thing. They brought complimentary biscuits. Omg the biscuits were fantastic. One of the few plus things for this place. Could have made a meal out of the biscuits. Place has potential but need to work on the details. read more

Great food. Great service. Gm was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely dine here often.

So unprofessional. Came into an empty restaurant on a Sunday around 5:30. I used to live in Alpharetta, Georgia and loved the onion rings at their location off 400. Tried to order some, was told they were out. Remembered they had fresh cut fries, tried to order those, they were out. At that point I didn't bother to eat here and left. Not sure the preparation on those items but can't you just cut some potatoes and onions in the kitchen? You could tell when you walked in and saw how few people were there that this was going to go poorly and it sure did. read more

Mr. Terrell is FANTASTIC! The kitchen was spotless and the food was SCRUMPTIOUS! So much so, I had to ask who was the kitchen manager. I forgot the first name but I remembered the last! The Mac and cheese was DELICIOUS! read more

Had lunch with Jim and nicks barbecue in Jasper Alabama today. Very good, but I will say this much their waitresses and waiters need to be just a little bit more friendly. There's about 15 of us there had a really good time good food, but to speak to the man and woman it was standing at the door to get them to talk to you was like trying to pull teeth at your toes. No smiles, not friendly the service was good food was good so I can give them four stars for the food attitude, one store read more

Went down to visit my mom so we decided to go to lunch . Upon entry there was no wait but ended up waiting 10 minutes to be seated . The waitress was nice and attentive. It was lunch time so it was slightly busy. The food was ok. Our first serving of the cheese biscuits were hot . The second batch were very cold . I ordered the loaded baked potatoe. The waitress informed me the plate was extremely hot. I wish the food was also. I had to send the potato back because it was cold . The plate hot but not the food . I asked could they heat it up . The waitress told me they didn't have a microwave but will fix me a new one. Well I received the same one just hotter , which I didn't mind . Since my mom was enjoying her lunch . Will I return , maybe not during lunch . read more

I have never had a more pathetically disappointing experience than I had at this location. My husband and I placed an order to go and when we showed up, our order had never even been given to the kitchen. So after waiting an additional 30 minutes, our food came out. Luckily I checked it before even leaving the parking lot. They had not even fixed it right, which included leaving on an alleged item that was specifically told to be left off. Then they couldn't even issue us a refund for 2 whole days???? I'll never go back and would advise anyone else to avoid this place. read more

Had to ask for silverware after we received our food. Also had drinks with no straws. I ordered the bbq salad and it should have had croutons and bacon but had neither. When we asked for more (complementary) biscuits, we were told that if we ordered some to go, we may get them before we leave. However, she did bring us some biscuits (after about 15 minutes). We ordered some lemon pie and finally after waiting close to another 15 minutes we asked to cancel the pie. When the check was presented, they did give us a piece of chocolate pie. read more

Passed this place on my way to the hotel and decided to go back and try it out. Showed up @ 7pm for some dinner and the place wasn't too busy but had a 20 minute wait. I ordered the 3 meat combo with chicken and ribs with a side of potato salad and corn. The potato salad was really good and the corn was cooked perfectly. The chicken was pretty good but dang the ribs were so frecking tuff I literally couldn't eat them & since they charge extra for ribs I decided screw it and asked for them to be replaced. The ribs they brought out 10 minutes later were 100 times better then the rubber ribs they brought out earlier. The little cornbread roll things they bring out were really good read more

Stopped for lunch, and glad for it. I had the pulled poets on a bun and the BBQ sauce was great, fries on the side were good, pork was maybe a touch ch dry but the sauce more than made up for it. Server was very friendly and professional, kept glasses full and checked in a timely manner for everything. Not a local but I would stop again. read more

Have to update, the last few times my wife and I have been it's been lights out service and food.

It's lunch time on a Friday and the place was almost empty. Nobody but myself to blame for overlooking that red flag. Staff just sitting around in the booths talking to one another, yet we had to wait while the hostess checked to see if the table had been wiped off. We ordered an app of deviled eggs. Who puts chopped onion in a deviled egg? Maybe that's a Northern thing, but still wrong because this is Alabama. I saw on the menu that they had smoked wings with "Carolina white sauce." We asked about it and the waitress said it's a "white-based" sauce and she could not describe it any further than that. WTH is "white-based?" We went with buffalo flavor and bleu cheese dressing. Bleu cheese - here we go again with the onions. It was like the cap fell off the onion powder. Then I made the mistake of using the restroom. (Hey, employees, I found something for you guys to do.) They had two stalls: Hiroshima and Nagasaki. If I had just gone in the floor it would not have made it worse. Literal roaches were openly running across the floor, looking at me like, "What are you doing here?" The toilet brush holder was laying on its side behind the commode with a dead roach inside it. I'm wishing I had a pair of scissors so I could just cut my business short and get out. We left immediately. read more

We've always received fast service here. the food is consistent and delicious for a chain. I love the biscuits!

The food is great and has friendly staff. The brisket is awesome. They have a good drive-through service.

We had a great meal here. I had the pork baked potato. My husband had the half chicken and my child had the grilled cheese. We didn't care for the baked beans but the biscuits were SO DELICIOUS. I'd go eat there just for those. Our waiter was very helpful and my kid left his phone there. When we called to check, the manager told us it was there in the office. Happy for honest people. read more

Yesterday i went to Jim N Nicks, and this was the first time that i was super disappointed! When we first walked in 2 hostesses looked me and my husband in the eyes are walked away from us. I had to walk around and ask them if we needed to seat ourselves, when one came she didn't greet us or anything, she mumbled something under her breath, and walked away. Our waitress was amazing! Very nice. But the brisket was disgusting, it was mostly fat, and i couldn't even eat it. read more

We have visited this restaurant with great success in the past as we are regularly in Jasper. Within the past 3 weeks, two times we have walked in around noon--over half the tables available. And yet, we've been told we had a 15+ minute wait. Not sure what's up, but something has changed. The food has ways been good. read more

Great experience. I had the fried catfish plate, and it was killer. Here's a suggestion though: why not close the dining room for a couple of days and just finalize the restroom remodel instead of portapotties? That's obviously off-putting. Pass that one along to the owners, I guess. Other than that, everything was great. read more

It's OK. Not terrible. But just OK. With all the other barbecue places in town I wouldn't choose this but some people just like commercial food. If you like commercial food like TGI Fridays, Applebee's, and chilies, then you'll like this place. read more

Ive been in jasper for five days and four out of these five of days I've eaten at Jim n Nicks. With each visit i've received great customer service and delicious food, but i must say with no exaggeration today was ultimately the best. The mac and cheese was extra gooey and the collards were seasoned to perfection, but what took the cake was the fried catfish.Oh my goodness it was the best ive ever had no lie.I'm so very pleased with the dining experience ive had at this restaurant, and if im ever back in town Jim n Nicks will be one of my first stops read more

Solid three stars. I wanted to like it and rate it higher but three is where it is. I was hungry, no lunch. I ordered the three meat combo, turkey, sausage and baby back ribs. Great food, great service, really enjoyed our meal. Looking forward to returning in the future!

I pass through Jasper once a month and stop here for lunch. Their beer selection has declined the last few months. The board never seems to match what they have on draft. Some of the handles are outdated from October and 2 of the 6 seem to empty. Wait staff is very nice and food is decent. Hope they can step up their beer game the next few months. read more

Leaving this review makes me sad. I wish I had a restaurant like this. I would strive to have the best everything. There was a place like that in Ga,, it was so clean you could eat off the floor, the pork and chicken were smoked OUTSIDE, fresh everyday. The sauce was ... oh my gosh my mouth is watering just thinking about it.... it was a hole in the wall but people drove hours just to eat at Mad Dog. The owner Jerry passed away and they closed. I was spoiled by them. It's the only BBQ I could eat. When we moved here I thought I would give Jim and Nick's a try. I bought a chicken sandwich. It tasted smoked, so that was good. The bun was toasted but soggy by the time I took it out of the wrapper. I looked at the chicken. By the time I took all the skin and fat off, I had a little white and dark meat. I poured the sauce on it. It was watery. It tasted ok, it wasn't too bad. I took a few bites and gave up. I buy pulled pork sandwiches for my husband, sometimes the employees act too busy to be bothered. There was one named Cassandra who actually acted happy to explain the menu to me. I do know, as a business owner, good help is hard to find. Every business owner wants everyone to do their job right and to be nice to everyone. Don't always blame the owner. read more

Easy to find (right off 78 hwy) and phenomenal service! Our server, Megan, was prompt to answer any questions and she made sure our glasses were never empty. The food was fresh and flavorful. I tried the pork potato, which came with a side of ranch that I didn't have to ask for. My friend had the mac n cheese plate with a side salad. Both were great. I love Jim N Nick's because of their sauce... the Jasper location was definitely saucy. I would eat here again. read more

Seated immediately, and the place was busy! Our waitress was Camryn! She was great! The cheese biscuits were awesome! My husband had ribs ( they were HUGE) and I had pulled pork. We shared and both meals were so good! I'd recommend this place. Btw, we are here on July 4, 2021 at 6:30. read more

I don't like that they got rid of the Nachos, but the Pulled Pork and Ribs are always fantastic, so I can't give less than 5 stars. Their wings with Alabama White Sauce (mayonnaise based fyi) were also excellent.
