TLTR- you get a good deal, but you have to put up with less than kosher behavior. What a great selection and very affordable price range. You don't have to sacrifice style to afford your dress. You only have an hour to try pick and try on dresses. So keep that in mind. We did feel a little rushed. To be fair we were there for 3 hours. Waited for 1, then took 1.5 to try on. They gave us extra time, but we still felt rushed. The fitting rooms were small, especially with all the dresses. We ended up buying one of the dresses, but they didn't ring the bell or any of the cheering they did for all the girls prior to us. We felt like a burden and they couldn't wait for us to leave. Which definitely put a damper on the experience. Few things I noticed that were very different from the other places we visited... Be prepared to be measured by a man in the lobby in front of everyone. It was kinda weird. He also made comments about several girls bodies that were... odd? "Oh you have a cute little waist and a full chest, you're going to be beautiful in these gowns" "wow you're only 4'10, I bet you hate your parents" Just kinda odd behavior for the owner to exhibit. They had complimentary drinks in an ice bucket. He made a point to offer them. There were single serving wine bottles. We each had one. For the whole hour we waited he made multiple jokes to the whole room about us being alcoholics and unable to walk straight. The first one was funny. By the 4th or 5th time..I was over it. He kept telling us we had to buy a dress so he could make his money back. He made that joke multiple times. He did offer to let us take two dresses home for the price of one for us to decide what we wanted. Which was very generous, but he also prefaced it by saying "you better leave me a 5 star review if I do this" "I'll do anything to free up this space. I have other people waiting" At the end of the day, we got a dress and that's what we came to to. I wish the experience was better, but it is what it is. read more

I had an amazing morning trying on dresses at Jillian's today! Jenna, my consultant, was super sweet and helped make the experience even that much more special! And I DID say yes to a dress! My recommendation for any bride who wants to go here would be to check out the website and to read some other reviews to know what to expect when you arrive, and you will have a much better experience. It seems most of the bad reviews are either based on things that are blatantly stated on their website or about Vito himself. He does have a strong personality so be prepared for that, but he was very kind and respectful the whole time I was there. They open at 9am, but will let you in early! If you don't want to have to wait for other brides to finish, go around 8:20-8:30 to be the first ones in. There is a small fee to try on dresses which is stated on their website, but it does go to towards the price of the dress you buy, so it's kind of like a deposit for their time in my opinion. I work in an industry where deposits are the norm so this didn't feel weird to me, especially because it is stated ahead of time. When you arrive- they will measure your waist. This is also stated on their website, AND there is a sign in the lobby that says you can ask to be measured in the back if you wish. Vito also asked if I would be okay with him measuring my waist in the lobby, which I was completely fine with. *He does not say your measurements out loud* He sees what size you are and assigns you a color hanger/section of the store to look for dresses in. I felt like this was very body positive and inclusive and it made me feel confident choosing dresses because I knew they would fit me well. They do ask that you keep your time there to an hour so don't plan to spend your whole afternoon there. It's such a busy place that this is also just out of respect for other brides coming in so they can try on dresses too. Their process of pulling dresses onto a clothes rack for you and taking them all to the dressing room at once is very efficient so it helps the time constraint. I tried on 3 times the amount of dresses than I tried at David's bridal in the same amount of time without feeling rushed. I think going to a store like David's bridal first helped me realize what a great experience I had at Jillian's. Davids didn't even pull the correct dresses I asked for and I didn't feel like I received one on one attention with my consultant like I did at Jillian's. I also felt like their dresses were MUCH better quality than anything I tried at David's. In the end- I had an amazing time, I felt like their dress were beautiful and high end, they had a VERY large selection, and they even thought of the little details that make a day like this even more special. They offer complimentary snacks and drinks, they have blingy belts and beautiful veils you can try on, and they cheer you on, celebrate you, and ring bells when you say yes to the dress! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We drove two hours and the mother of the bride even booked an Airbnb just for this appointment, only to end up crammed into a tiny corner with four other brides separated by flimsy curtains like some kind of wedding factory. The whole experience felt pressured and joyless. The owner- think Harry Wormwood from Matilda-was a slimy, fast-talking con man who actually bragged about making knockoff gowns in his own factory and claimed he could recreate any designer dress for $1,299, copyright and quality be damned. There was literally a timer counting down our hour and fifteen minutes, and he even made an inappropriate comment about the mother of the bride "talking for her," which instantly killed the mood. The staff were kind and clearly doing their best under miserable conditions, but the dresses all looked the same: cheap, repetitive, and poorly made. When trying on said dresses, the bride wasn't even clipped in the back to simulate a better fit, of which the owner claimed was due to "all dresses being that measurement" and she won't find something to fit her body type. Ick. To top it off, the owner tried to pressure us into scanning a QR code to leave a five-star review in exchange for a bottle of perfume, while specifically telling us not to mention that we hadn't found a dress. When we finally left, he even short-changed us on the deposit refund. If you value honesty, respect, and a real bridal experience, please do not go here. We ended up at C. Lovely bridal nearby, where the owner stayed after hours, gave us a private, peaceful fitting room, and helped my friend find the dress that made her glow- all for nearly the same price. Everyone is amazing here. They let you take your time and will help you through the entire process. They make you feel beautiful and like you're the only woman in the room. They had plenty of styles and dresses in my size even as a midsize woman I felt confident in 90% of the dresses I tried on. Olivia helped me out this past Saturday and she was wonderful. I was her last client of the day & she made sure that I did not feel rushed and that she would help me with whatever I needed. I was literally the last girl in the building still looking for a dress. After trying 15+ dresses on, it was the very last one that I tried on that I fell in love with. She was fabulous and really made me feel great about the entire process. This outlet features rows and rows of dresses to choose from and buy right off the rack. My dress was retail priced over $1700 but the outlet sells all dresses for $699 plus tax. I got a $1700 dress out the door for $720. The dresses are in season and still featured on the websites of the designers. I even checked. Review of Jillian's Bridal Outlet: I'm posting this anonymous because the owner has publicly attacked others who have spoken negatively of his shop. I've been to many bridal stores and places to try on dresses and Jillian's was by far the worst and most traumatic experience I had. First you enter and there is a big man screaming advertisement pitches at you who makes you stand in front of him and a whole room of people to be measured. He didn't offer to do it anywhere else even though the website says he would...he actually said he needed to do it there in front of everyone. This made me uncomfortable and I think it should be a woman measuring the brides as he kept poking at my boobs and measured like 3 times which felt like sexual assault (technically was sexual assault). I actually asked if the woman could just measure me when it was time for my appointment and he wouldn't allow that because he had to be the one to measure (um why? I'm pretty sure your bridal consultant can measure me just as well). He also commented on my body and the size of my boobs. You're then given a return time for a few hours later and he says he'll call or text you if it's sooner and then you'll have 15 min to get back to the store which isn't really fair if you're telling us to wait and go do things in the middle of nowhere for a few hours. When you come back for the time, he will be bragging about the costs in his store and just make you sit there uncomfortably until your bridal consultant is ready for you. When my bridal consultant (who was apparently head person) was ready, she wasn't actually ready as she hadn't had lunch at all so she sent my friend and I to look through the dresses all alone while she ate lunch. The whole time you're being timed on a kitchen timer they have in front of your station. Then, when you're ready to try on dresses, the consultant doesn't help you get the dresses on or fasten them at all. It's up to your friends to help you. She just put the dresses back and tried to pressure me into dresses. The whole time I was uncomfortable and hated having a timer right in front of me putting pressure on me. I wanted to leave and not get a dress but I was pressured into one and bought it (totally regret giving into the pressure as it's not me and I've now actually found my dress at an amazing supportive store) and at checkout the creepy man will once again start boasting to you and will pressure you into tipping your consultant. I don't think I should have to tip someone who literally didn't help me at all, ate her lunch, and offered pressure but he said that everyone did and I was being stared at by a room of people so I did. None of the other stores I visited even asked for a tip and it seems like the creepy guy should be paying his bridal consultants better if he needs us to tip them. Anyway, the man then pressured us into writing a 5 star review before leaving so we could get water for the 2 hour trip home so just know that a lot of the positive reviews are only there due to pressure from the man before the people can leave. I hated my experience at Jillian's, felt very uncomfortable, felt sexually assaulted, was pressured into buying a dress, and more. You can get dresses for less than Jillian's and have a much more pleasant experience at places like David's bridal, Carolina bridal world, New York bride last look, and more. Please don't go to Jillian's if you're a SA survivor as you may be triggered. It seems like all he does is constantly post things advertising himself on this page so I just wanted to share how my experience there was. I already knew what to expect when I got there. It's on their Facebook page and website. So there was no surprise there. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. I NEVER write reviews but me and my family's experience there was a HORRIBLE experience. We arrived on a Saturday at 2:45 and when we entered we were the only people there. Vitto commented how he was going to close early ( which his store hours are until 5:00) and he made it known he was playing Risk on his phone. There was one 20 year old "consultant" to help us. He measured me and told us where to look for the dresses. We started shopping around 3:00. My sister helped me into each dress. As I started to try the dresses on for my family Vitto came back to the fitting area and sat down to play his phone and watch me. MULTIPLE times he commented on my breasts and told me that I "filled the top out nicely" and that " most women can't do that". He made this comment at least 5 times and made me and my family feel very uncomfortable. He was also repeatedly rubbing my 13 year old daughter's back ( which I didn't know until we left). As our hour of time drew closer he began BERATING me to hurry up and make a decision even though no one else was there and his store wasn't to close for another hour. He made me feel so uncomfortable and so stressed. He doesn't care that you are a bride looking for a special moment with your family. He only cares about a sale. There are many other who have had this same experience. I would never recommend this place. Yes, the prices are better BUT you get what you pay for with how you are treated. I believe people who have positive experiences here are people who did not have Vitto back in the dressing area with them. The young girl never helped do anything because she didn't know what to do. I am attaching a picture of him staring at my breasts so to realize what a pervert he is. Please do not give him your business or let him ruin your special day. I said "yes, to the dress" at Jillian's! What was great. 1. All dresses are $699 so you can go in without worrying if you're going to go over budget. You know going into the store that if you find the dress, that's what you'll pay + tax. 2. Shopping by color. It was a lot easier to sort through dresses than looking at the tag to make sure you grabbed the right size. 3. Added perk of jewelry. I was able to pick out a pair of earrings and a bracelet. It's not the best quality but it was a nice add on. Recommendation 1. Get there early! Luckily they opened up a little early so I was able to get in around 8:45 am before the rush. 2. Most of the dresses are lace, as mentioned on the website. I'm not a lace person and was fortunate to find a beautiful satin and beaded one with no lace! 3. You have an hour so go to at least 1-2 stores before so you have an idea of what you like. Things to be prepared for. 1. Small dressing rooms. It's manageable but if you have a big puffy dress it can get tight with you and another person helping. 2. They measure your waist in the lobby in front of everyone. While they don't shout out your size, some people might not like that. I think it'd be better if they gave you the option of going behind a screen or something. You're also measured by a male. By far this was the best shopping experience I had shopping for a wedding dress! After several unsuccessful trips to other bridal shops around the area, I decided to ask a friend where her daughter bought her wedding dress and she said Jillian's Bridal Outlet. I finally decided to give this place a try after I searched all over Charlotte, Gastonia and multiple websites to find "MY" dress. I knew what I liked and I'll admit I've been extremely picky. It had to be a sweetheart neckline, only a zipper back, fit to flare, embellishments on top, yada yada. I could find things I somewhat liked in stores but never the right size or only a few of the qualities I desired. To order a dress the right size wouldn't taken 6-8 weeks and then another 4-6 weeks for alterations. I didn't have that much time! I decided to make the hour drive not knowing what to expect and had little expectations to be honest. The owner was very lively and explained how the process works. After trying several dresses I had a "break down" and got very discouraged I was never finding my dress and time was ticking away. Tammy was the awesome assistant helping us and was so extremely kind. She brought me tissues, hugged me and let me sit while she brought me a drink. The very next dress I tried on blew me away - it had everything I wanted and fit as if it were made for me! I claimed it. Tammy was the most genuine and sincere person I ever encountered on any shopping experience and made me feel important and valued. I loved her!! She even wished me well with real tears in her eyes when I left. She doesn't know she made my day all the more special. Upon leaving I even got to choose from a cocktail dress or rhinestone earrings as a parting gift. I was extremely happy with my experience and I got a $1600 dress for $699 + tax! And we had free rein to grab whatever and do the whole process however we wanted. I found my PERFECT gown for a great price and got to take it home too! Honestly, it was a steal of a deal and the most beautiful dress I've ever seen in my life that fit like a glove. An honest review to follow. Upon arrival at 9:20am, entered a very small office area, packed with girl customers. The office area is about 14x 8. Not Covid friendly at all. Everyone was trying to reach a very loud man at a table in the corner. No view of weddings dresses at all. Upon reaching this man, we were given an appointment time of 12:30 to return. You are measured in this area. We came back at 12:17 and took a seat. From chit chat we learned other groups were 10:30 and 11:00am appointments waiting. The man (later learned was the owner), talked loudly nonstop. A consultant would pop out and he proclaimed "you gotta get these groups looking a dresses" outa here. We have others to get in. Opinion here: The two hour time beyond our 12:30 return to look at dresses in this office was like putting up with a bad drunk. Nonstop loud talk. He took great pride in taking the girls money who bought a dress in this same office area and announced it loudly to all of us waiting. Don't be looking for sweet fuzzy bridal moments here. You are held to an hour and are charged $35.00 upfront. No real explanation why you are charged this. You cannot make an appointment in advance with this business-they don't allow it. We couldn't do this anymore and left. He yells " gotta give me 5 stars baby, 5 stars. He demands a good review. Beware. One star, baby one only because I had to do so on yelp. read more

Vito the owner measured her in front of EVERYONE. He then kept commenting on her body and how he may not have anything to "fit her." This was uncalled for. This is one of the best no haggle quality dresses, quality customer service and only store that has the understanding that we all come in different shapes and sizes and quality doesn't have to be most expensive. Honestly the owner was so helpful and I came back twice till found the perfect one it s more than business for him but personal connection.He wasn't pushy and only made me smile and made me feel like I was talking to a old friend. And to show how wide range for all the females under 5'0 and very petite i am around 4'10 with 22" inch waist and found a dress that doesn't drown me and didn't need alterations to fit me. There are many dresses that are around 599,699 but I did see a couple of 400-500 dollar dresses but all were very well made an d would have cost thousands in other stores. We arrived in the afternoon and had only a 15 minute wait and had extra time to try dresses on! My daughter found a beautiful dress (made her cry she was so excited!). This was her 4th time shopping. All the employees are very nice and extremely helpful. For a smaller business they have an impressive selection. It is a fast paced atmosphere- only 4 dressing rooms so there is a need to be timely. The selection was vast and organized into size group to make the searching so much easier. Our stylist, Sarah, was so patient and helpful. I drove from Spartanburg to try this place and It was worth the drive.I have been looking all over for my dress and today with Vito and Tammy's help I found the most gorgeous wedding dress I ever could have imagined I could find! I got my wedding dress and veil and a gift for less then a 1000.00 . Vito was so welcoming from the time I walked in the door to the time we walked out. And I can't say enough about Tammy the lady that helped I felt like she was part of my family she got excited with me cried with me but she was so honest with me about every dress. The store opens at 9:30 AM, so we (My future mother in-law, future sister in-law, my cousin, and myself) were going to meet my mother and sister at the store. At around 9:05 my sister and mom are blowing my phone up because they opened the doors early! They told me there are only four dressing rooms so we need to hurry because one was already taken and two other groups were waiting for their bride to come!! We ended up getting there at 9:20 (give or take). Once I entered the store, which was kind of cramped because it was a little entrance area, the manager told me my mom already paid the $25 and proceeded to measure me. I was a white with stripes and a plain white. All the dresses were colored which made it easier for my group to find the dresses in my size. We entered the dress room and we were greeted by two employees. One told us we could put all of our stuff down in a dressing room area and the other asked which color I am and pointed to the ones in my size. There were about three racks I was able to pull from. I had an idea of what I was looking for (long sleeves, all lace, and not a huge ball gown), but my sister told me to try on whatever I liked - regardless of if it was what I imagined. We ended up getting 8 dresses for me to try on. We headed toward the dressing room (where the employees already placed my choices in). The one employee told me she was handling my "appointment" and the young woman across from me and that if I needed anything to let her know. I honestly did not mind this at all because my sister was going to help me get into the dresses and it was nice not having someone hovering over us. We tried on all the dresses and I was left with two that I liked the most. One was a lace, mermaid style and the other was a puffy ball gown (who knew, huh?). After trying each of them on twice, and dolling me all up with veils and a belt... I knew I found the perfect dress! The experience was what I thought it would be, special and with the most important people in my life. I did not cry, but I was smiling ear to ear and I could not stop smiling all day! I ended up getting the dress (which was originally $1200, but I got it for $699!!), the veil, and the belt. As I was checking out the manager told me I can pick out a free cocktail dress as well! They have a rack at the front of the entrance (right when you walk in) that had a few dresses on it. They only had four or five in my size - which I didn't mind because it was free, why complain? I would definitely suggest this place if someone is trying to find a name-brand dress that is both beautiful and budget friendly! read more
