While traveling on I-49 the wheel started making a strange noise. Luckily I questioned a noise and pulled to the shoulder and the tire came off. The wheel ended up landing onto my tire. Since this incident I've had to repair more parts that were damage due to the tire falling off. Turners refused to acknowledge fault or pay for damages. Instead they suggested I tow it from Pineville to Eunice and they would do the repair. (YEAH RIGHT! Y'all caused the problem and failed the first time.) I wouldn't let them ever touch a vehicle again.

What should have been a simple warranty repair for a nail in my tire turned into a multi-day ordeal. I arrived around 8:00 a.m. because my tire pressure was dropping and the tire had a nail in it. We paid for a tire warranty, so I went to the dealership rather than a tire shop. I explained that my daughter and I were trying to leave for New Orleans that morning. Dylan in service was excellent throughout the entire process, and I want to make that very clear. He communicated with me, kept me updated and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, while attempting to repair the tire, I was told that the dealership's equipment damaged it beyond repair. They did not have a replacement tire available, and Dylan had to wait for management to tell him what could be done. After waiting for quite some time, I eventually had to interrupt a management meeting myself to explain that I had arrived with a repairable tire and now had a damaged tire because of their equipment. I was eventually given a loaner vehicle, but by that point it was around 11:00 a.m. The following day, I was told the replacement tire had arrived and that my vehicle would be worked on. I waited all day for a promised update and never received one. At 4:58 p.m., I called and discovered service had essentially left for the day without contacting me. My vehicle was not ready until Friday afternoon. Then came the issue with the loaner. My own vehicle had a full tank of gas when I brought it in. The loaner was given to me with approximately half a tank. I had already added gas to it while expecting my vehicle to be ready the previous day, and after two days of inconvenience caused by the dealership, I refused to continue spending money on the loaner. I was then told they would charge the card they had on file for the gas. After everything that had happened, that was completely unacceptable. I called back and spoke with another service employee who knew the entire situation. She told me a supervisor would call me. No one did. Then, after I finally got my vehicle home, my husband noticed that my rim had also been damaged. Thankfully, another longtime employee at Sterling was very helpful when my husband returned with the vehicle. He remembered seeing me there that first day, understood exactly what had happened, and helped arrange for the rim to be repaired. Even that repair, which I was told would take approximately 20-30 minutes, took over an hour. The most frustrating part of this experience is that Sterling has some genuinely good employees. Dylan was wonderful, and the gentleman who later helped with the rim was also very helpful. But good employees cannot make up for poor communication, lack of urgency from management and the way this situation was handled after the dealership damaged my vehicle. Mistakes happen. Equipment can damage something. That is not the part that determines whether a customer comes back. It is how a business handles the mistake afterward. Sterling lost my business because of how this was handled. Update: 10/7/2026 I've been in contact with corporate and they want a copy of the work order. Unfortunately, when the loaner guy tried to make me stay while they washed the car, I said no I'm ready to get out of here and was not given the paperwork. This all started on 9/17/2026. I have emailed Hunter Perry 3 times 10/2, 10/5, and 10/6 for that paperwork and still have not received it. Update 10/9: I still have not heard from Hunter. However, yesterday I received a text and an email about a bill for $386.41. The text says "Service on your vehicle is complete. Amount due $386.41." The email said nothing, just a bill attached. I sent them an email at 2:34 inquiring about this and have not received a response.

I thought it was the struts and took it to a shop and was told that it was a 2016 Hyundai Alantra with only 38thousand miles on it. It may have other issues. He told me to do a CarFax on it and when I got home and did the CarFax I found 6 reports on the car. The frame is bent that's why the car would swing so bad. It was a death trap. I recently bought it in September of 2017 and gave it back to Capital One right before Christmas. Messed up my credit from 640 to 501. Sorry sacks of Shit!!!!! All they cared about was getting a sell. The car came with one key, no floor mats and no spare tire or car jack. It also had a musty smell as if it was once in a flood. Most of their cars are recked/ refurbished cars and cars from previous floods. Don't buy a vehicle at Ville Platte Dodge!!!! I am getting a attorney about my situation. I am pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the Seller's talk a good game and once the papers are signed their done with you. Don is a old ass wantta be washed up pimp. They got me good but God will have the final say!!!! They are quick to make a video with you to post on Facebook and YouTube to get more customers before you can even get into the car to know if it's good or not. I have a new car with John R Young in Eunice Louisiana through GM Financial and had not one issue with that car to this day thanks to the good Lord!!! I Was given two keys, a spare tire and jack. Even floor mats. The people at John R Young are very professional. Please stay away from Ville Platte Dodge And Mr Donald Anderson. He will sell you a stone with that mouth. He's real good at his job too. Devil in sheeps clothing. Fuc@ you VPDodge with a ten foot pole up your scamming asses with those used lemon Cars (where the recked cars are refurbished and resold for Real) is what their slogan should've said . ((William save the bullshit!!)) y'all tried to charge me $95 dollars just to look at the car. And tried to charge me $300 dollars for a key when I called about getting another key. When I gave the car up, I canceled the insurance on 12/20/2017 the car was picked up as it shows in the picture on 12/27/2017. The next month I received a letter in the mail from my insurance company saying that the car was involved in an accident on 12/27/2017 which was the day the tow truck guy came pick it up. I have the papers videos and pictures to prove it. Y'all knew that car was dangerous and I am not the first one to complain about y'all selling a dangerous car to. There are many others I have talked to since giving that car back complaining about the same things and getting their money back from y'all so stop with the wantta be innocent game there is nothing nice nor innocent about y'all or yalls business. Y'all were not interested in helping me with the car issues so stop. The car ran great the only issue was the bad swinging at the back and it was never in any kind of accident by me so you can kick rocks with your out of shape ass. Y'all all are nothing but trash using the blacks there to lure in more black customers to scam with those to shit used cars. You know y'all sell trashy cars so stop. Go get weight loss surgery so you can drop some pounds and lose the belly you trash box y'all most likely had that CarFax report fixed. I'm not the first to have these issues and I unfortunately I won't be the last. If people go to y'all for a car try to sell them a new one so they don't end up with these issues. I'll stick with John R Young in Eunice. They sell great quality cars. And to say I had called them first but they didn't contact me back until the next evening. By that time I had done went to y'all sorry asses and signed papers after only putting down $250 dollars. Then y'all kept the car for that whole month and knew about the swinging and did nothing but so say did a front end alignment. Right!!!! The back swung very bad. Stop with the bullshit. I went pay towards my down payment every two weeks until the end of that month and got the car. As the weeks went by it started swinging again. As time went on it got worser. Y'all all are complete trash selling trash and y'all know it. And to think y'all were trying to get me to recommend y'all for more sales. Please!!!!! Never that! Stop being so damn thirsty for sales. I should have did a review check on y'all before buying anything with y'all. Hopefully y'all will go out of business for scamming people with y'all junk cars. Try to stick to only selling new and y'all won't have any of theses problems chumps!!!! I am done

TLDR: Never buy a car from ville platte dodge…read more Their cars seem great, especially ones with only a few thousand miles on them. They are likely wrecked. I was sold a car that i was told was not wrecked. I noticed a small rust spot, a missing drain plug, and a mildew smell. Was told "it must have gotten wet from the car wash" and they would clean it, and replace the plug. (They never did) Once i noticed mold growing on my carpet, i took it elsewhere in Lafayette and they were super helpful. They informed us the car had been wrecked, and replaced the drain plug. With the drain plug intact and no where for the water to go... The next rain left my car with a river under the floor board. The damage from the wreck was poorly repaired, leaving my car with rust, moisture, and mold. When looking into reports, it said the wreck caused very minor damage which is usually scrapes and cosmetics. This damaged the frame of my car, causing it to not seal correctly, leaving me to believe there are repairs made under the table so it wouldn't report the severity of the damage. When talking to them about how i was unsatisfied, i was met with the "as is" clause. I understand legally they do not have to take any action. They just wanted to sell me another car. I do not trust any cars on their lot. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.
