We ordered a cake to be picked up November 26 at 10 am. They couldn't find it because someone forgot to finish it. After about 10 minutes finally found my order & rush to finish. When I get to my car I notice the top part of the cake moved/tilt to the side so I go back inside and ask the baker if she could help. She blame it on me and said this is the best I can do but didn't really do anything to it. Could have been our fault or not because she rushed to finished either way I asked a nicely, it's my son's birthday cake just help us! read more

I enjoy the laugh I get out of shopping at this jewel in Lockport. The loaf is hilarious and the staff is very nice. The self check out is clean and honestly , Im suprized I haven't seen Baby Grinch from the gas station here yet . Clean store, funny and polite staff and great food read more

Front end cashiers were pretty rude. We asked simple questions but received attitude and the young cashier dude and lady at the bagging end made looks at each other . If you don't like customer service , don't make it the customers problem. read more

This review is aimed at the front-end guy, Randy, and the older lady named Jasper. Jasper, whenever I see you you are always looking so angry and barking orders at people. I was shopping and saw you with a stroller. I thought "Maybe she's a new mom and is stressed out, hence the unpleasant attitude ", but I noticed your stroller had a dog inside?!?!?!?!?!? I thought only SERVICE ANIMALS were allowed in the store??????????? The management here seriously lets people, associates actually, bring UNREGISTERED PETS inside?!?! Disgusting!!!!!!! And Randy... Well I went to the service area to ask for help finding a product, after you told me the aisle, I thanked you and made a light joke about not being able to find anything since the Jewel I go to is mapped out the opposite way, you looked me all mad and said "HAVE A GOOD DAY!" while I was STLL talking. Jewel-Osco, you need to retrain those people on customer SATISFACTION. I cannot believe this generation with their rude f***ing attitudes! I will say at least the grocery staff is pleasant to deal with! The manager, Berto is very nice! And so is the late night guy, Jeff, I remember him from the produce section. People should learn from Jeff on customer service! read more

The pharmacist and pharmacy technicians are always kind, knowledgeable and helpful. They are also very competent vaccine experts!

Frozen Jenny-O Turkey Breasts that are on sale for 75% off have no Sell By, Cook By or Use By dates on them. Judging by the price cut they are probably from last year. Nice commitment to freshness and food safety there Jewel. Never shopping there again. Store is dirty and the decor is like stepping back into the 1960's, deli staff is detached and rude, vendors block aisles with pallets as they restock shelves and Jewel has the highest food prices in the area. Now they want to sell me year-old Frozen Turkey. No thanks. read more

I have been coming here for 11/2 years since I moved to Lockport and I think I would prefer to go to the New Lenox Jewel which is wonderful instead. A lot of the staff is extremely rude. Today at the service desk I waited while someone kept stocking cigarettes he saw me. I finally asked if he could help me and he was very rude. Some of the staff even look like their hygiene is poor. I am constantly seeing products even in the meat department that are past the expiration date. The bathrooms are filthy. It's very close to my house but I think I would rather go to New Lenox or Meijer in Homer Glenn. The shelves are poorly stocked. read more

I think this Jewel is a good store. The only thing I wondered was why this Jewel doesn't reload debit cards even their own Select debit card. I asked and the man at the Service Desk told me flat out" we don't do that here" Other Jewel stores reload read more

First time coming here. Me and my sister wanted to grab a few things. Prices are fair. They got a lottery machine and great deals on drinks. Prices are in the middle with everything . Plenty of check out desks. Customer service desk was awful! I waited 10 minutes for someone to show up. Bathrooms are small, the urinals were meant for kids not grown ups. Shelves are well stocked. Wouldn't mind coming here. read more

Nice, store, nice selection of products Some speciality items not usually found in other grocery stores, Goid selection in the beer/wine/liquor department, prices a a bit higher than elsewhere but nice service and selection Also have express lanes staffed with cashiers rather than self check outs A big plus. read more

I try my hardest to keep coming back because of it's close proximity to my home but I continue to have issues with bad product. On several occasions I have brought home dry goods from the shelves, dairy products, or bakery items, only to find out they were very far past their expiration date. After the FIFTH time returning items with little to no concern by the service desk to right their wrong, I again went to other locations to shop. Even more disappointed when I go to New Lenox, Homer Glen, or Orland and feel as if I'm in another grocery chain. Lockport seems to be the store Jewel forgot. Nothing new, innovative, or fresh ever! They are really falling behind their sister stores and it shows! Take the time to go to another store if you can. As long as you set your expectations low....you won't be disap read more

Automated text system, designed to let you know when a prescription is ready, also auto-refills scripts even if you don't want that option - you can't have one or the other. I've had to ask to be removed from the system a half-dozen times. Also been told 2x my note to be removed was "in the wrong place." A pharmacist ARGUED with me recently, claiming that she called 3x to alert me about a backorder on a script for which I never requested. When I did order a refill two weeks later, one pharmacist told me the drug was on back order, only to get a call the next day telling me the script had been waiting for pickup for 9 days and that I had 1 day to do so. Pharmacist says she'll call with an update. No call, forcing me to follow up 2 days later. Of course, the script was ready. Manager refused to take my phone call after I expressed my overall frustration to another pharmacist. That says all I need to know about this location's customer service, which has been horrible for the past 6-8 months. Taking by business elsewhere. read more

The Osco Drug is terrible. The worst customer service i've ever experienced. The lady behind the counter was nasty and rude. My mother just had surgery and needed to get pain prescription filled, she can't sit in a car for long periods of time and has to be on site in order to fill the script. Yet, the lady refused to expedite her order and said she was too busy and it'd be a 45-60min. She was very unprofessional about it and told us to go somewhere else. Extremely rude. read more

A bit dirty and crumby to me. Never seem to have all the essential needs. And they do not stay open to their timeframe. Not is not acceptable for Jewel . And they are not clean! read more

Would like to give business to a local grocery store but overpriced and my husband bought poultry that was rotten when he took it out of the bags at home and realized. I won't go into much detail . He did take it back and spoke with the manager who apologized but needless to say we will no longer be customers of jewel . This store needs a deep clean . The freezers etc are gross . I go to Aldi now read more

Wonderful multi-cultural staff, great produce, phenomenal butcher shop and seafood department. Their liquor department is massive and carries a huge selection of wine and beer in addition to hard liquor. Deli is top notch and always very accommodating when slicing meats for customers. Ethnic grocery selection is surprisingly deep with many items I used to have to special order online now readily available at this location. Love this store! read more

Just moved here from South Naperville where the 95thstreet Jewel was a beautiful, CLEAN store. Not the Lockport Jewel the produce and deli area is filthy. The floors are ALWAYS dirty, the deli area is dirty and the glass cases always have condensation on them. Can't do it. read more

Store Management: Please work with your suppliers / Vendors to offer reliable water refills. Your water refill station is operational only about 30% of the time I visit for a refill. Please consider switching vendors, reimbursing customers for lost time and gas when not operational or place a link on the Albertsons website that indicates when the machine is functional (phone calls don't seem to get an accurate answer). We sent a man to the moon 50 years ago but can't get a water refill machine to be operational for more than 30% of the time. Not acceptable. read more

Went to the Deli at Jewel yesterday afternoon. There were 2 gals working. The second girl took care of a Jewel employee than excused herself despite the other 3 customers waiting to be served. One of those customers left the deli in disgust. Meanwhile as I was waiting I noticed 5 or 6 bulk lunch meats left on the table at room temperature. These were open meats that had been sliced and the rest was just left out. That is definitely a severe health code violation. At this point I had seen enough so I left to go to the store in NEW LENOX. Stay away from the Deli at Jewel in Lockport. read more

As far as the larger chain grocery stores go I don't hate Jewel. The meat selection is admirable. Which is really all you want from a grocer. MEAT. I mean sure they have vegetables and other quote-unquote healthy stuff. Don't tell anyone, but the veggie selection is actually good. Their fruits and veggies are probably the freshest of the stores in the area and they have some fancy stuff like Japanese eggplant amid other atypical items. But you know MEAT. Because I'm a guy in the Mid-West and salad is what food eats. MEAT. They surprising have a nice craft beer selection. At the end cap of the beer cooler are some awesome single bottle beers. Soooooooo good. And not too insulting on price. There is a bunch of other stuff on the shelves too. But their bacon assortment leaves something to be desired. Hashtag-sadface. read more

First of all, Dave W, you are the racist. Blue lives do matter, and that gathering was organized by a young boy in the neighborhood who is much wiser and more evolved than you are. How about we say "life matters" and then live our lives as if it does? Glad to hear you won't be shopping here again though! Secondly, this is a lovely store with a friendly staff. read more

After experiencing a very rude associate at the front end of this store I tried to make contact through the channels with out success. The store manager sent me an e-mail to call him with a phone number that does not get answered, then hangs up without the opportunity leave messages. I sent him my phone number via return e-mail so he can call me, so far no call. So far no more e-mails. I think my family can live without Jewel! Total lack of respect for the Lockport community! Lots of infighting, and animosity in this store. Not at all pleasant to shop here. Try Berkots a few blocks down the street, smaller name with much better customer concern! read more

Deli service is always so very slow! Fruit is over priced and not so great! I don't like shopping at this location!

The deli at this Jewel is horrible. I stopped shopping at Jewel only because of their deli employees. They are rude, slow, and incompetent. Took 25 minutes to get a lb of turkey and some cheese with 3 people in front of me and 3 people behind the counter. Ridiculous! read more
