I was asked to send them all the paperwork that I was including in the Form 22. For that I was charged $392. When they received my paperwork, I had to pay ANOTHER $392 for them to look at it. I was given one hour appointment. To my horror when I got there, all the pages of my documents were mixed up and the lawyer and I spent the best part of my second hour putting papers in order. I was not given any instructions how to fill Form 22. At the end of my session I was asked to give $2,000 retainer and the lawyer was not able to tell me how much the end cost would be to help me fill out the Form 22. I feel cheated as I did not get 2 hours worth of consultation. How they mixed up all my paperwork I have no idea, and it was obvious that if they did look at it, they could not tell what belong where. I asked for fee for one hour back, and it was refused. I would never ever recommend Atac law to anyone. It is not a matter of $392 that was wasted, it is that my possible lawyer could have done that to a possible client.
