Every time I've visited Camera Solutions the staff have been ever-so helpful and will gladly take their time to ensure that you leave with enough advice to make an informed decision about your photographic purchases. Their experience at dealing with pros and amateurs alike sets them apart from many other places you may consider purchasing a camera from. Don't go to a high-street branded retailer if you want to take up photography go and see the friendly staff of Camera Solutions and they help guide you through the mine field that is photography.

Good advice is very often priceless, and Camera solutions in chester are always able to offer it…read more Whether its Pro gear, accessories, replacement of your old compact camera, or a gift for an absolute beginner, they have it all and can make sure you get the right camera for the job. What really sets them apart from the big brand highstreet retailers is they care about their customers and train their staff really well. They carry all the big brands and always have good stock.. they'll even order speciality stuuf for you too. What i like about them most is that they have really good prices ( usually within a fiver or so of the cheapest internet prices) but with the added bonus of a real place with real people if you have a problem They will even show you how to get the best from your camera before you buy it ( an no internet site i know does that ). So if you are thinking about buying a new camera, talk to these guys, they are the experts.

The manufacturer knew and recommended Cambrian Photography as best optics repair/service in our area. We were seen immediately when we arrived for our booked appointment. The repairman had a look and confirmed we had been sent the wrong eyecups. He then proceeded to repair the damaged eyecup while we waited. It was excellent customer service and experience, and we are so glad to have our binoculars working again.

It's not everyday you decide to purchase a second hand camera. However, when doing so, I decided to…read morechoose a photography shop that I have used on a more one to one basis. I purchased a Fujifilm XPro1 Camera that came with one seemingly third party battery, and boxed. It didn't contain the Hähnel Universal Charger as advertised, so I posted a message to them and opened up a case against them through Ebay. One of their staff decided to hand deliver the charger, which I thought "Yeah sure, go the extra mile." However the charger does not work at all with the battery, and now I am seriously pissed off. Sadly, the whole experience has left me unsure about using such a shop, as I have stated I have experienced better using Calumet, or even Wex Photo/Video. I am all in favour of using high street stores to purchase items, and even online shopping. Though this experience has once again pushed me further into analogue photography, where upon I don't have to worry about charging said item in order to operate it.

Between myself and my other half, we have quite a lot of camera equipment that cost us rather a lot…read moreof money. We know nothing lasts forever, but that said - we need to be able to rely on our equipment, and make it last as long as we can before replacing. Lots of places offer servicing of cameras - but normally they're mail order services where you post your camera off and cross your fingers it'll come back in one piece. (Yes, I'm paranoid!) We've been lucky as (touch wood) nothing serious has ever happened.. so as yet, we've just been in need of sensor cleans to get rid of those annoying bits of dust that can get trapped inside the body. That's where HPC comes in - when we discovered this local place where we can take the equipment and see who we're giving it to, it was a massive weight off our minds. Over the past few years we've regularly taken our cameras for sensor cleans here, and everything has always come back as good as new! Brilliant!

But with our holiday fast approaching, we realised we had to get it fixed, quickly. I'd only heard good, if not brilliant things about John and the Halesowen Photo Centre, so I decided to head on down with my camera, having no idea why it was being so temperamental, to see if John could fix it. With over a week before we left, John politely asked if we were in a rush and to rate the urgency of the matter. Despite admitting it wasn't of the up most importance, he had it fixed in a few days and I collected it, yet to experience any problems four months later. Everything about this place is fantastic, anyone with a camera predicament, see John.
