The manufacturer knew and recommended Cambrian Photography as best optics repair/service in our area. We were seen immediately when we arrived for our booked appointment. The repairman had a look and confirmed we had been sent the wrong eyecups. He then proceeded to repair the damaged eyecup while we waited. It was excellent customer service and experience, and we are so glad to have our binoculars working again.

I purchased a Fujifilm XPro1 Camera that came with one seemingly third party battery, and boxed. It didn't contain the Hähnel Universal Charger as advertised, so I posted a message to them and opened up a case against them through Ebay. One of their staff decided to hand deliver the charger, which I thought "Yeah sure, go the extra mile." However the charger does not work at all with the battery, and now I am seriously pissed off. Sadly, the whole experience has left me unsure about using such a shop, as I have stated I have experienced better using Calumet, or even Wex Photo/Video. I am all in favour of using high street stores to purchase items, and even online shopping. Though this experience has once again pushed me further into analogue photography, where upon I don't have to worry about charging said item in order to operate it.

I needed my passport picture for a new passport, as I was due to be traveling soon, luckily I booked my passport appointment as a one day service, rather than posting my passport and receiving it within a week. When I got to the passport office they rejected my photographs (that I payed around 10 GBP for) and said I needed new ones as they were too dark. Luckily I retook my pictures in the passport office for 6 pounds, however I of course lost my money from Max Spielmann. I just thought I'd leave this review because if you are posting for your passport and the picture gets rejected it will take an additional week to receive your passport - so I would not recommend getting them done here as you can do them in a photo booth for much cheaper and better guaranteed quality!

However, when I was in Jacobs looking for a new pouch for my digital camera I overheard loads of professional camera talk and advice going on with customers getting great, quality advice. As I was only in here looking for a new pouch, I kept myself to myself, and just considered my pouch option. Unfortunately, the pouches in here are all well expensive. Nigh on twenty quid just for something to put your camera in? Seems a tiny bit much. I will consider my options online.

Best place in Manchester for 35mm film developing!…read more Cheaper and better quality prints than boots, jessops etc. Lady and man that work there are very friendly and the 1 hour processing is v reliable, one time they even spent extra time tweaking the exposure (probably not the correct terminology I'm not familiar with the process of developing prints) on some prints from very dodgy expired film that I took in, so I got better photos at the end for no extra price. If you want affordable, good prints and friendly service this is the place to go! Been going for 2 years and really missed it when I moved out of Manchester for a while - definitely recommend.
