My 18 year old was in pain from one of his wisdom tooth, and the Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists were able to get him in first thing on Saturday morning at 7:00am. The front staff were amazing. The office was so immaculate, and the beverage bar they had was also really nice. The techs and assistants who took us back to take pictures, and go over billing details were great too. My son bravely opted to have all 4 wisdom teeth extracted the same day. Dr. Amir went over my son's xray thoroughly, and explained what the procedure was going to be like. He was kind, patient, and had a great personality. Dr. Amir definitely made the experience for my son more calming and comfortable. After the surgery, they provided my son with a "wrap around head/chin" ice pack for the swelling, which had 2 ice packs one on each side of his cheeks, making icing hands-free. So nice. The healing process went very well. Overall, Dr. Amir and the staff really know what they are doing, and they truly care. I highly recommend them!

While on vacation I started experiencing extreme sensitivity and a throbbing sensation on my bottom…read moreright wisdom tooth (32). Upon returning from my trip, I scheduled an emergency appointment with Luc Dental Care. An x-ray confirmed a large cavity in my wisdom tooth. I was immediately referred to Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists for a tooth extraction. I spoke with a friendly representative at Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists who was able to schedule a next day consultation and oral surgery. The following day I arrived to a group of friendly employees at the front desk that greeted me. Since I filled out the intake form prior to the appointment, I was only seated for two minutes before being ushered to the back. An employee took my blood pressure, administered an x-ray, and informed me that the surgeon would be with me shortly. Shortly after Dr. Fries entered the room and introduced himself. He gave me an overview of the procedure that would be conducted, asked if I had any questions, and then started a short video that informed me about post-extraction care. After the video concluded, I was ushered to another room where Dr. Fries and an employee began administering the local anesthesia. Roughly 10 minutes later, after confirming that the anesthesia had kicked in, Dr Fries began the procedure. Throughout the procedure Dr. Fries and the employee did a great job of communicating what was happening (the wisdom tooth was very stubborn in coming out) and verifying that I was not in pain (although there was slight discomfort). Three days later, strictly following the post-extraction rules, I have no pain (thankfully)...thank you Dr. Fries and the rest of the Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists team!

I paid OOP so I'm not sure how the process works with insurance but there were no issues with payments. All the questions I had, the surgeon answered with transparency and records. I would say, if you expect top tier customer service and sugar-coated words, this office isn't exactly like that. Everyone was blunt and straight to the point which I really appreciate and as long as they get the job done really well, I don't have any complaints.

My surgery was conducted with local anesthesia, so i can't speak for IV sedation or oral sedation. I've had experiences with local anesthesia prior. So I knew what to expect. The numbing....while painful was the least scary part of the procedure. The surgery was EXCRUCIATING.... even with the sedation. but i don't regret having it done, as my teeth were starting to decay because of the lack of space. My advice to anyone considering it. is PLEASE only do it if it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. Because i refused IV sedation... the local anesthesia, was painful enough that i started to tear up. I am currently writing this while my head and mouth are throbbing. My mouth is pooling with blood and saliva. i may have even swallowed a little lol. Please remember not to wait until you're 30s or 40s to have it done. The doctor was kind and understanding. Dr Brian Fong: "You were brave, most people fall asleep for the procedure." 10 hour update: I'm still in pain. but a little less than this afternoon. and the bleeding has lessened.

OMGOODNESS! It's been a LONG time since my last review at Laguna View Family Dental!…read more I have been a patient here for about 14 years now. I'm a big baby and for some reason, dental was my least favorite place to go. ;) I have found Dr. Leo Townsend, DDS to be very professional and gentle! All of his staff are knowledgeable and friendly as well. The entire staff works as a team and are like family. I have my teeth cleaning and exams done regularly. From time to time, I am embarrassed to say they find those pesky little cavities!! My insurance covers most of it and I am out of pocket for a few dollars. Now, when they find something forming with their high tech gadgets, I do not wait. When you wait, and after time it becomes an emergency, that's when more work is needed. This office offers much more services than I've used. There's implant restorations, Invisalign invisible braces, pediatric dentistry, and more. The office is very serene and sterile. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Leo Townsend!
