What can you say about a man that has pictures of his dogs on the wall in his office? I also had pictures of my dogs on my office walls,so I had a feeling we might get along and I'd be able to put my trust in him .And when there is jail time to face, you have to be able to put your trust in an attorney.. And Jesse came through Big Time for me. Attorney LeAnn Schumann was redoubtable in handling my case. Always respectful of my needs and what I wanted as the outcome of my case. With a 90 day sentence looming over me, I told LeAnn that I could not handle being a guest again with the accommodations at the fine hotel known as WCJ, AKA "The Resort at Parr Blvd". She asked me to do some things that I really didn't want to do, but she was right and her recommendations and guidance proved to be paramount to effectuate my case. She was easy to talk to even when telling me the things to do and the money it will cost. (And the fact is, I really just didn't want to do any "work" on my own)! But it paid off by being some of the things the judge wanted to see. However, Jesse was chosen to appear in court with me and we hadn't met yet. With Covid19 lamenting us all, Jesse and I were able to have a telephone meeting that I requested, the day before I was due in court. Strictly business, we were adroit and on the same page expeditiously. Nervously waiting in the hallway for court, I met Jesse with a Covid-fist-bump and started to relax. He exhibited an immense knowledge of the courthouse methodology and after meeting with me, he set off to do what he does. Jesse appeared to be pretty well known in the courts and within a few minutes, I actually started to relax, something that I hadn't done in the EIGHT years I had this warrant tormenting me. In the courtroom, we were first up to the judge. Jesse spoke for me in a strictly legal manner and I hardly had to say but a few words. He and the judge had a professional rapport that put me at ease. The best part? No jail time! I left the courtroom with two fines, which was the best outcome I could have asked for, and what I deserved after several Failure to appear and failure to comply warrants..(Judges tend to get a bit pissed when you don't do what they say and blow it off for eight years). After leaving the courtroom we were walking down the hall and I couldn't resist saying to Jesse "What's your freedom worth? About a thousand dollars"!! It might sound like a lot of money, but I'd have paid twice that to stay out of Parr Blvd Thunderdome Hell any day. And I owe it all to Jesse and his staff at Jesse Kalter Law..I know I couldn't have gotten off this good without the professional representation I received through JKL. Jesse even walked us through the cashier "system" to pay my fines in full and get this ordeal over with for good. Then we all exited the courthouse and it felt great going out the FRONT door and without handcuffs, chains and shackles. (The way I often leave the courtroom).
