They were pretty booked out so my appointment was in 3 weeks since it wasn't a huge emergency. I had a small leak around the radiator cap. When I arrived on my appointment day, I was greeted by a very nice woman at the counter and then the mechanic and I went outside and I showed him what was going on with the leak. I chose to wait for the vehicle and the little waiting room was comfortable... it had, heat, water and a bathroom. After about 30 minutes the mechanic came and brought me back into the shop so he could show me that a piece at the top of the radiator had to be replaced and while he was looking around he found that a serpentine belt tensioner was missing and the serpentine belt was worn down to the point it could of snapped at any time. I was thankful he found it so I could get it fixed and not get stranded somewhere. So since I was going to be there longer than expected I asked if they could do a couple other things like an oil change and wiper blade and headlamp bulb replacement. All in all it took about 3.5 hours for them to fix the radiator w/flush & fill, replace headlamp bulb, replace rear window wiper, oil change, install new tensioner and serpentine belt. I was happy I got it all taken care of but of course all this comes with a price tag and I am not going to say it was cheap but it was work that needed to be done and they seemed honest and had great service. I would rather support a family owned business than a dealer any day. It is also nice to know a shop with some talent for the future. Try them out! I'm sure you will be pleased.

I had the top end of my motor rebuilt after lifter failure. He double charged all the parts (Verified by parts dealers) I had a follow up problem he took care of which is always a plus. The one thing I care most about in this world, is my truck, it has a sentimental value, and he made it run again so I'm happy.

My car was there Friday to Friday and the technicians sent me constant updates with pictures even videos through out the course of the work being done. I listened in as the attendant was working with the previous client, when it comes to a woman going into a maintenance shop there is that stigma with women and car shops. I'm always on alert when I'm at a car shop because mechanics have been known to overcharge women. When it was my turn I had said i was there for my appointment, but the massive American flag outside is what made me ask this question. I had asked if this was a locally owned shop which they agreed but I asked what their stance is on the climate of the country and they said they all have different stances. As a veteran who served this country I don't feel comfortable giving my money, my car or the belongings in my car to this shop. Or leaving my car unattended with them. I stated this, and this attendant started telling me about this and that. I don't care. I care about my community, and if my money is going to the right places. And I got my confirmation that it is not here.

It was not replaced (as per Gresham Subaru) and brakes never felt like new brake pads were even there. Now i have to have it all redone at Gresham Subaru where i should have gone in the first place, i don't think the work was ever done at Referral Automotive, i got took on that one, never again
