Had to spend a lot of time getting the smell out of my clothes the days following. The music, especially if you are into that scene, is really good and there are multiple rooms with different Djs. There is also a cheap coat check. Beers are cheap, but the alcoholic drinks were on the pricey side, 6 euro. The place is really gross and dirty and sweaty. I really suggest not getting too dolled up. I refused to go to the bathroom lol. The line took about 30-40min when we go there are 2am. Plan accordingly. Cover is a steep 12 euro.

He offered us an English menu, and joked around with us, making for a fun experience. The food was stellar. There's something endearing about a simple plate, but what made it special was just how well each item was made. The sausage crunched, the potatoes were the best I've had, and the sauerkraut was... exactly what you'd expect out of sauerkraut! Do not doubt the portion sizes, one of the mains will be enough to fill the standard eater's fill. "Apple wine" is a staple, but not really for me. We couldn't finish all of it, though we tried! Since it was technically Thanksgiving and because I already had a lot of roasted potatoes, I was glad to see that the potatoes were "puree" (aka mashed), which made it feel a little more appropriate. What has astounded me is how inexpensive beer is. Most beer items are the same price or even cheaper than soda. (Probably b/c the soda is imported, but still!). Instead of being a "cheap date" with a non-alcohol beverage, I was an average date. LOL. In any case, from what we could tell there weren't a lot of tourists. It's on the south side, across the river from the main part of Frankfurt, but it is easy to get to, either by walking or by local transportation.

Robert Johnson is an awesome club, where you will hear some bomb tech-house spun by some of the genre's both established as well as up n coming stars. I was fortunate enough to hear a 24 set from Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin back in 2004, and just recently caught Rhadoo, Raresh & Pedro at the beginning of August. At the first show I went till 11:30, and the recent show I was there till 8. Just can't stop at this place and the sound system is absolutely stunning, crisp, clear, and deep Be prepared to pay cover however, and unfortunately you'll have to dress somewhat presentable, this isn't Berlin! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
