What a cute place! My parents have been here before, but this was my first…read more We first checked out the gift shop. So much stuff and it's not junk! I could have easily purchased more items than I did ($85), but I have to fly home and I can't pack everything I wanted! Then we went to get lunch. My mom and I both had a blt. She had a hot mocha latte and I had the grasshopper mocha iced. Everything was really good! With both of us getting chips, our bill was just under $50. I would get everything again. Gift shop, restaurant area and restrooms were kept clean. Then we went out back to walk along the water and see the covered bridge and chapel. Most everything was kept nice outside, too, but I was disappointed on the clumps of cobwebs and dust on the chapel and the dirty and cobwebbed windows on the outside. It wouldn't take much to wipe those items down. If I'm in the area, I would definitely stop in again!

There were a few refurbished/art pieces that fit the theme, and some small gift items like deliciously scented soaps. The main thing that I found bothersome was the offering of some items of questionable taste. One item that stands out was a can that was bright yellow and had branding for a caricatured Asian servant. True, it was a different time, but it's also super racist. I'd personally be more inclined to return if those types of items weren't part of the equation.

I left with a cozy Wisconsin hoodie ($40) and my boyfriend purchased not one but two Wisconsin hats ($35 each). This place has something for everyone and is an incredible way to support small and local business at the same time.
