I've been buying flowers from them for about a month now. (The secret to keep your flowers alive longer is to add a cup full of vodka to cold water and an ice cube). I change my water on a daily basis using this method and my flowers last a full 7 days). We also stopped at Nate's to get coffee. I got a cold brew with foam and a shot of toasted marshmallow. My friend got a drip coffee and a bagel with spinach artichoke spread. She said it was really good but on the messy side to eat. I also picked up a jar of carrot cake jam from salad days. There were jewelry booths, that included homemade soap, vegetables fruits, baked goods , fresh pasta, different condiments and spices, rubs, beer, cheese, and assortment of beef, chicken, pork, farm fresh eggs and so on. It was busier than normal today but I think that had a lot to do with people graduating and the fact that the previous weekend was derby so people were out of town. The people selling fresh flowers were extra busy because tomorrow is mother's day. We saw a variety of dogs too which is normal. I like that the main area of the market is sheltered so you have protection from the weather elements and shade for when it gets hot in the summer.

The Sunday market feels a bit more chill than the Saturday market downtown, and the vibe feels a little slower so you have more opportunity to speak to the vendors. It's right across from the fire station (kids love fire trucks), in the church parking lot. Dogs aren't allowed so bring a friend to hold her while you shop. You can eat your breakfast together at one of the tables right there at the church outside of the Farmers Market. Parking is available on the street or across the street at another church. It's a great place to hangout for a bit, let the kids explore, eats farm fresh, literally, breakfast, get some great goodies for the week, and RELAX (it's the weekend). This Farmers Market is large enough to give you everything you need or want, and small enough to walk around and still keep an eye on your kids or quickly find a friend to compare your treasures. I love the breakfast omelet, the music is always good and sometimes really, really good. And the people are always friendly and fun. I walk there, but it is worth the drive, and then you can walk around a bit!

They carry a slew of other dairy products such as cheese and butter. Flavors of ice cream vary as well as store hours based on the season. I believe their facebook page gives the most reliable source for hours, typically 11-9 through the summer. Staff is always super friendly, typically you'll just see Mrs. Rowlett making and serving ice cream while her brother is busy with the various cheeses and butter. Prices are sure to not break the bank and will certainly yield more than a few smiling faces indulging in such wonderful products. Craving more than a scoop or two? Well they've got half gallons ready to go home with you currently priced $12/each. My kids say Rowlett's is the best and I wholeheartedly agree!

I promise you, you've never tasted anything close to the coffee ice cream at Rowlett's Milkhouse Creamery. You'll thank me later. I took advantage of this beautiful fall day to drive to Campbellsvirg in Henry County and see this place for myself. Our office gets special treats on birthdays and I got to enjoy the coffee ice cream and I was in love. The texture was like silk on your tongue. The hint of coffee was just enough to fit through the sweetness to make it out of this world divine!!!!! So I'll shut my piehole about the coffee ice cream and talk about the other things Rowlett's has to offer. They have a large variety of cheeses, ice creams, ice creams and butter. I was looking forward to buying some butter for the banana bread I'm getting ready to make; however, they were sold out. Oh well, i'll have to make another trip there I guess. This business is locally owned by brother and sister Terry and Sharon Rowlett. I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon when I visited today and she was as nice as she could be. This is most definitely worth the drive and a great way to support local business. Y'all gotta make the trip. You won't regret it.
