We took it to Iowa Lakes Community College Automotive department and were told that the FUEL PUMP was bad!! The mechanics at ILCC pulled off the fuel pump that Rick Swalve "supposedly replaced" and guess what??? It FUEL PUMP THAT ILCC PULLED OFF OF OUR CAR was OLD and BROKEN!!! Therefore, we paid Jim's Auto Repair/Wickman Auto Sales over $700.00 to replace a fuel pump and the work we paid for was never done. Save yourself from a huge headache! Find an honest, trustworthy mechanic elsewhere. Try ILCC Automotive Department Jacob Jacobson is a great mechanic with a good reputation in the community. We take our vehicles there and they have been dependable and honest.

After making the appointment to get my car repaired I had a feeling, since it was during the holidays, it would cost a little more on such short notice. However, after having a used part installed and just barely reliable enough to make it back they charged me triple the amount for the part. We were on a time crunch to get back and it took them 2 days to complete. When we arrived back in our hometown we had it inspected and had the rest of the work completed. We were told that we were overcharged. Not only did they overcharge us for the part, we found out they bragged about overcharging us to the entire town and were proud of the situation! We looked online and found Richard's and called ahead of him as it was close to their closing time. Not only did they hold a lift open for him, they stayed late, diagnosed the issue and got the part for him. It was too late to do the repair that day, so they called us to let us know what was wrong with the truck, drove him to a safe hotel and promised they'd get him back on the road safely first thing in the morning.
