Surprisingly not that many in the Chesterfield area... so while I was in between meetings at the new job, I sent off enquiries to three different companies. Only two responded and only Tidy Tiffany & Co was able to meet the timeframe we were looking for... on really short notice. Jemma was quick to respond to my email and was able to give me a quote over the phone based on my description of the house and what needed doing... which was really appreciated since we were already in London and couldn't just pop over to the house to let someone in. I'll admit that when the quote came in, Mr. Snarky and I didn't think it would take 6 hours of work, but the quote was bang on the money! Not only that, but when I talked with Jemma on the phone about the fact that we were driving up from London and we would drive back early evening, she was able to get more of her staff to help out, so we wouldn't be leaving quite so late. When they showed up, they were all wearing black uniforms so you could identify them easily and they were really friendly. They got to work quickly and between the three of them, managed to clean the house (3 bed semi-detached) in two hours. Jemma even cleaned the refrigerator :). They asked us to do a walk through and make sure that we were happy with the results. They did a wonderful job... the house looked like it did when we moved in. Not to mention that they were able to accommodate us on really short notice (I contacted them the same week... Wednesday or Thursday and they came to clean on Saturday afternoon). I don't have any other quotes to compare to as the other company needed to walk through the house, but at £160 for three staff, over two hours, on short notice... we thought it worth every penny! He used an extra protein cleaner on the accident areas first, then did the whole landing and stairs carpet before going back over the accident spots to ensure the carpet was extremely clean with no lingering smells left which was amazing! He even managed to remove a couple of old dark marks that had appeared previously that I was unable to remove despite using various types of carpet cleaner. I thought I would need to buy a new carpet and instead ended up with my existing one looking brand new! All this for a very reasonable cost even thought it was an emergency weekend booking. I was so impressed with his polite and professional manner that when my mother-in-law wanted some carpets cleaning I recommended the company.
