Using this bank as a lender for an auto loan was a terrible decision. I never missed a payment, or…read morehad any late fees; this bank is just extremely unprofessional. I started my loan and received a stack of invoices (approximately 1 year worth). After I ran out of invoices, I repeatedly asked for more each month. Eventually they decided to send my another stack, but they had another persons information and account number on these bills. Long story short: During my 3 year loan, the only correct correspondence received from this bank was the first stack of invoices, and then offers to skip a payment during holiday months (for a $75 convenience fee)

They were very helpful during the sign up, but I wanted to be able to deposit money into this bank…read moreand transfer it to my previous credit union, where I keep most of my savings. Columbia Credit Union requires you to wait several days to set up an external transfer, while they put 2 small deposits into your other bank account. Then you have to go through a bunch of steps to get that account attached to your Columbia Credit Union account so that you can transfer. After waiting several days to be able to complete this transaction, which was larger than usual, I still could not get it done. I had to contact them 3 times on the phone--I couldn't find a way to contact them via messaging--and had to wait a long time on hold. At the end of all this, they couldn't transfer my money because they have a $2000 per month limit on what you can deposit. The lady who was helping me kindly tried to help by having the receiving bank pull it out as a bill pay, but that didn't work. She said my only option was to go into the bank and get a wire transfer (which they will charge me for), to wait for the checks that I have ordered and send the check by US mail to the other bank, or to slowly drain out $2000 per month to complete the transaction that I needed to have done in one piece (so that it will be recognizable). I needed to have that done today, in one transaction, and I don't think I should have to pay to transfer my own money. By the time I had been on extended holds with them for 3 calls, it was closing time for them, so I did not even have the option of going to their bank and physically getting the money or getting a cashiers check. I am very frustrated with them and am considering changing credit unions, even though I just opened this account. I need it to work for me, and it isn't working so far. I must say that I doubt that the problem is with this particular branch. I think that the problem is with the whole institution. The people who assisted me throughout the whole process were helpful and polite. They just were not able to overcome the policies of their employer to meet the needs of their customer.
