My experience with Jeddeloh Snyder Stommes was absolutely appalling, and I would strongly caution anyone considering entrusting this firm with their family, finances, or future. My attorney, Jessica Mickelson, was routinely rude, abrasive, and dismissive, repeatedly raising the possibility of withdrawing from my representation whenever I questioned her strategy or asked reasonable questions. Imagine paying an attorney thousands of dollars only to feel intimidated into silence for fear of losing your own legal counsel. Her attention to detail was equally concerning, including inaccurately characterizing two late parenting-time exchanges as "missed visits" when neither visit was missed. Matters deteriorated further when I spoke privately with firm partner Kimberly Stommes about potentially seeking replacement counsel and specifically requested that she not inform Jessica until I had secured another attorney. Despite my understanding that she agreed, Jessica was informed. Kimberly subsequently claimed I had disclosed this information to Jessica myself in an email, which I searched for and could not find. Shortly afterward, the firm informed me it was withdrawing before I had secured replacement representation, creating precisely the situation I had tried to avoid. The lack of professionalism, breakdown of trust, and apparent disregard for the vulnerability of a client navigating an emotionally devastating family-law dispute were staggering. I hired attorneys to protect my interests, not intimidate me, mishandle sensitive conversations, and leave me scrambling for representation. Based on my experience with Jessica Mickelson and Kimberly Stommes, I would never give this firm another dollar, and I strongly encourage prospective clients to take their business elsewhere. read more
