I did not feel welcomed. There was a strange atmosphere in the salon. It did not feel very professional. The appointments take a lot longer than normal, which I didnt mind but if you go make sure you take something to read. On the first visit I was offered a magazine, and after i'd read the magazine I was quite bored so the next time I took a book. On the first visit the person instructing the trainee was quite pushy as to what I should have done. I kind of felt swept along by what she said and when my hair was done I did not like it. I feel like its my hair and It should be my decision as to what I have done. I feel she bullied me into having something I did not want. I thought she knew what she was talking about but when my hair was done I thought it looked awful. I complained and went back, I felt like they didnt really care and were just trying to get rid of me, they redid my hair but I feel like it was a rush job to patch it up and is not how I want it. Having my hair done here was a mistake. I don't really blame the trainees as they were being told what to do but the person instructing should have known better. I felt quite self conscious as all the other trainees kept looking at me, and at one point one even spoke to my trainee about me as if I was not there, asking does she like her hair?? and she replied she hasnt seen it yet, which wasn't reassuring. (was having hair washed at the time) It was not a relaxing, or pampering experience. It is cheap but then you get what you pay for. I can't comment on the beauty salon as i've only been to the hairdressers. I would not go there again and if you care about your hair I would advise you to think carefully!
