Brad Montgomery was the second motivational speaker booked to appear in a conference I attended…read morethis week: National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC). He appeared on our final day of the conference. Interesting guy, was a comedian and a magician in the past. Now he does motivational speaking... I will say he is pretty funny. His main focus was on how we should motivate others and be positive if we want to be leaders and successful... but beyond organizations we should be that way in all facets of our life. He wanted us to remember how it felt when someone we trusted, we admired built us up... and how we should in turn do that for others. He said, and I will paraphrase: when we nourish others, we improve our satisfaction, our happiness, our sense of worth. We make others better, our relationships better, our organizations better. Very positive message. He believe it was important especially to cherish people in our lives and remind them they are important to you. He challenged/forced us to send a text message telling someone we care about how important they are and how great they are. I, of course did that. While I was waiting a response, he showed previous funny responses from others to those text messages at prior conferences.. hilarious... especially when my dear friend sent me a similar one. Lol I remember one moment Brad had me in stitches when he said: "Women are better at giving support. You won't see two guys walking out of this room and one guy Turing to the other and say: 'oh wow dude, you look great in that shirt! The color just makes your eyes sparkle'". Lol. I decided that I will try to remind those important in my life how much they mean to me an build them up. So, for all those I talk to, share moments and memories with, are friends or dear family members: thank you. You are awesome and important! Since this is still me, I want to add an addendum. To everyone I don't talk to anymore: you suck! you missed out! you failed! Hah! In all seriousness, it was a great talk and I will be using what I learned here to make those I care about feel amazing and also to help my organization and build up people I work with as well as those who will work for me as I continue to grow as a leader.

She failed to file a late return for us,missfiled our business taxes as she used the wrong forms and the IRS rejected them over the course of a couple of years and she refused to fix her mistakes. She will not communicate with you and barely even returns a simple phone call.I had to hire a national tax relief firm to help unravel and repair the mess she made. The worst part of course is the thousands of dollars she wound up costing us. Her rates are extremely outrageous for what she claims to do which isn't much... look elsewhere for accounting help and choose very carefully.

During our very first 'official' meeting to go over some documentation she prepared, I had to completely re-explain everything I was needing. Not only that, but the paperwork she completed was incorrect and disorganized. After 4 months of back and forth, explaining my situation numerous times, we finally completed all of the required tax documentation (or so I thought). Since then, I've received 4 new notices from the IRS and Social Security Administration, stating they're missing documentation that Renne was supposed to have prepared and sent. Now I can't get ahold of her at all. I've been emailing her for 3 weeks without response. She will not answer her phone and her voicemail box is full and can no longer accept new messages. Worst, most-inexperienced, disorganized 'accountant' I've ever dealt with. Stay away.

She admitted that they are not trained to troubleshoot and are mainly salespeople with very limited technical knowledge. She advised me to go to the UBreakIFix location she recommended, saying they had the right cable for a seamless phone-to-phone transfer (though it would cost extra). When I arrived, they had no such cable or capability, and instead began Googling on their personal phone to figure out what to do. They could not help me. Out of frustration, I went to the Apple Store at Park Meadows Mall. To my surprise, they were able to transfer all my data in just 25 minutes. Problem solved! Lesson learned: if you have an iPhone, go straight to the Apple Store. They can handle everything, and you'll get the same deals you'd find with Verizon. Ask for Dom at the Park Meadows location -- he was knowledgeable, efficient, and brilliant to work with.
