I have not been to one of these stores in years . I wanted to pop in to see if they had a particular perfume that is only carried there. I didn't find the perfume , but I did find two blouses that were cute . I was surprised I found these . With that being said , they have never seemed to step up the fashion part of their women's section . A lot of the clothes are dated in my opinion . Service has always been decent . Marci the. Store manager as she stated she was, was completely rude to me . I brought back two jeans and a sweater, not worn with receipt. No refund because it was. Missing tags , they don't come with btw only cardboard. It was a Xmas gift we were not told we had to keep them like that no refund for me only rudeness she got mad you can't take pictures in here I said oh yes ma'am I can and if you don't like being in Public don't work in public. I bought Clark shoes for my mom for Christmas and NOTHING was said about a 60-day return policy. She tried to return them and was told I wouldn't get but $29.99 WITH a receipt because it has been more than 60 days. JCPenney used to be one of the best department stores in business, but it seems like they are going down hill like everyone else. This is unacceptable, especially since I bought her another pair in a size that actually fits. read more

The JCPenny Team in this store is the best customer service team I've ever had the honor and pleasure to experience. I walk this Mall basically everyday and, as a result, see the JCPenny doing their job. Again, they do a great job. Of course, I shop there as well! read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. I am a bigger woman and have a hard time finding flattering swimming suits. I will say their merchandise selection is fantastic; however, the customer service is not. I actually found a swimming suit I LOVED and I came out of the dressing room to show my husband because I was excited- he was a good 5-10 feet from the dressing room & was yelled at to get out of the dressing room by the associate working in that section. Her reasoning was that it was the intimate section which OK maybe I understand but he was not in the dressing room- I was just excited and wanted him to see. He was treated very poorly and received no apology. I did buy the swimming suit because of the rarity that I find one flattering to my body type, but I am extremely disappointed in the treatment my husband received. Had a great experience until I was ready to leave. I was with my daughter and it was about 9:05 so the store just closed and I had parked down by Sears so I needed to go thru the mall to get to my car. The doors to the mall were locked and when I asked the three ladies at the register if they could open the doors they told me once the doors are locked they could not be opened and I had to go all the way around and walk outside to get to my car. We are weekly shoppers at the Broadway Square Mall in Tyler, TX. We like to go out and eat on Friday evenings and then go to the mall. We always park on the J C Penney side because we like shopping there first. We are usually at the store around 6:30 - 7:00 PM. This past Friday, we parked at the back of the store and entered the doors by the "Styling Salon." We purchased some towels, and my 82 year old mother, who is handicapped and uses a walker to get around, purchased some women's clothing that was close to that same area of the store. Then we needed to check out and could find no one around. They do not have a Customer Service Center at the back entrance of the store like they do at the other three entrances. We finally found someone at a Service Center near the vacuums, but the employee there told us to go on up to the Customer Service Center near the men's jeans. My mother was worn out. This is unacceptable! We are good Penney's customers, but may not be coming back as often. I hope the J C manager will read this and will think about reinstalling a Customer Service Center at the back entrance like there was before they did all of their remodeling. read more

The actual JCPenny store is amazing, but this review is regarding the Portrait Studio there. The lady there that took the family portraits I had done, was nice, but very rushed & not very inventive. I was told the order I placed would be shipped there and when I could pick it up. I asked could I have it shipped to me (if I decided to do so since I live so far away) when it arrived there. I was told yes. Customer service is HORRIBLE, as I left several messages over several days regarding having it shipped to me, and I was never contacted back. When I finally did get ahold of someone, I was told I could not have it shipped to me, I had to do that when it was ordered. Then I was told I would be contacted by a manager about it. No one ever called me. I finally had to drive the 2 hours to pick it up. I won't mention names, but it was the same employee that I dealt with the entire time. I was just very disappointed with the whole interaction, and I will NOT be returning to this Portrait Studio. read more
