It's been eleven years, and I work nearby now, so I decided to bring a roll of e-100 over to them for processing only. The last time I was in there was 2015, according to the records there. They rang me up for processing and said "That'll be $17" Odd...I couldnt recall what my usual place offers, Lumentation, so I gave them a call. They charge $7. When I politely said to the older woman working there, "Not trying to be a jerk, just wanna let you know Lumentation charges $7. Why do you charge $17". She scoffs. "Well, I send it out to someone who does it for REAL." Super helpful, sis. I was pleased with Lumentation's results the last time I went, so I will just take the hike over there again. You guys can delete my account from your system...it's been 11 years since I gave you my business, and I don't plan on ending that streak.

The staff is very helpful and turns around your prints very quickly. They have an easy-to-use system where you simply email them your files. Prints can be very expensive, however, especially if you're looking for a nonstandard set of dimensions. But they are definitely the best place in Boston to deliver high-res photos in a timely fashion.

Their developing work is as good as ever, but the quality of their scans has been significantly…read morereduced. I first noticed with my last batch that the 135 scans they did, supposedly at "full resolution" were noticeably pixelated, with jagged edges visible at 100%. I was surprised, since this problem was not present the scans this same lab had done for me in years past. I called and they agreed to re-scan them on a different machine, which ended up producing scans of about 1/4 the resolution of the original job. I finally talked to the manager of the lab who admitted that they deliberately reduced the quality of the scanner's outputs, so even though they bought a machine that can do impressive 30MP files, they no longer collect that much data off the film. They refunded me, but refused to change the settings on their machine. So even though you're still paying the full cost for "high res" scans, you're getting significantly less quality now. This isn't just lazy, it's bad business practice. Their lab work is fine, but if you're looking for quality scans, look elsewhere. Their results are garbage, and they don't even care.

The staff is friendly and great at giving a run down of how everything works. The booths I chose were around $8.48 - I recall taking around 8 pics and having 90 seconds to choose which 4 pics I wanted printed on my final printed photo strip. Before you start taking pictures, you can choose the layout of your photo strip and if you want the pics printed on regular or film style paper. It's also worth noting that you can also grab and use any and as many props as you want. The props range from goofy shades, Pokémon hats, plushies shaped like bread or shrimp, etc. You'll also find a basket in every booth to place your props in them to clean up after yourselves once you're done taking pictures. While these types of businesses are geared towards couples or groups of friends, I had a lovely time going solo and getting about ~3 photo strips as a little birthday treat. My only regret is that I didn't opt to save the digital copies by inputting my email or using their QR codes. 10/10 wold recommend this place if you're doing a ton of walking and/or shopping on Newbury Street and need a light-lift photo opp as a break. Don't forget about the free black and white photo you can take close to the entrance!

It happened where there was the dreaded blank screen on my camera. Zero power. After replacing…read morethe battery with still no power, I took it to Hunt's photo. They diagnosed my camera as dead. It was one of these circumstances where it would cost more to repair than it would to buy a new one. The sales associate helped me select a new camera pointing out the features for each. The store had a plethora of new cameras to choose from. We used the old lens and strap so I did not have to buy a new one. As far as I could tell, the camera was reasonably priced. If I ever had a problem with my camera, I would return.
