Numerous tenants have expressed concern and many have had maintenance come in while they were undressed. When maintenance receives an order form they don't give notice when they'll come in and when they do they come in, leave for hours without letting tenant know if they'll be back or what to expect. When they return they come right in even if it's been hours. A notice was put on residents doors stating, and I quote, "I know the property is a low-income property, but it doesn't have to look like one" implying we are trashy and poor. I would never recommend this place to anyone while current management and maintenance are still employed.

When questioning why the mgr was violating tenant right and if she was ok with that, she replied "yes". This mgr is very unprofessional. During my .meeting with her, she stuck her tongue out at me, she made a statement of "I have a high school diploma and a college education" trying to imply she was smarter than me. I also have a college degree, I just happen to be disabled and not able to ever work again. She tells other tenants business to other tenants. When you report something regarding people and illegal activity, she will say "well, I didn't see it myself", and nothing gets done. She will pick and choose who to pick on. She is a regular bully who plays the innocent Christian to people's faces , but will talk behind their backs. I've been here 21+ yrs and these apts have really went downhill since property management changed to her. The apts are dilapidated because the inspections are t done like they should be and when they are done, nothing is truly addressed that should be, but you'll get wrote up if you don't have a light cover on. Find somewhere else if you want quiet, peaceful living.

update from my previous review:…read more my family lived at walnut river apartments for a year and a half. we moved out around two months ago. before we moved in we were told it would take about two weeks to clean the apartment then we could move in. two weeks later we hadn't heard anything, so we called and they said it would take two more weeks because they hadn't started yet. we waited two months before getting to move in. after moving in we got a note on our door saying there was a complaint against my chihuahua. my husband went to the office to ask about the note. the woman said that she noticed him outside on our back patio and if she saw him again she would evict us. she said that he is out there making noise all day and was going to break the patio. I had this dog for 6 years and we had to get rid of him because of this. BTW he was never out there more than 10 minutes at a time, I am a stay at home mom, there was no reason he would have been left out there. and when he started barking we brought him back in. we had made a grass box for him to use back there, he was not hurting anything. now we have moved out. we turned in our key September 27.after spending 2 weeks cleaning every inch of the place. they told us we would get a letter about our deposit in a week. we still have not heard anything, we asked them why. they said they haven't even checked the apartment. haven't even been in it since we turned in the key. we asked why and they said because they had to take pictures. it is not hard to take pictures. they are so lazy and hateful there. they have 2 more days to get our deposit to us and we haven't heard from them still...
