I had a wine cooler - and he charged me $79.99 for diagnosing the problem - which was the the thermostat. b) He told me that it would be an additional $350, for him to order the part and install it - but I told him that I could order the part myself (BTW - for $150). At which point he told me - there would be no warranty and he would install it for $75. c) So we agreed, I would order the part, and he would be back to install it for $75. While leaving I told him I had a dryer that also needed looking at - and he said since he is coming back he would look at it for NO CHARGE. d) 2 weeks later, I got the part, and I texted Jon. After re-introducing myself, he told me that it would now cost $150 to install it. After some back and forth, he agreed to $120 - and he also agreed that he would look at the dryer. e) He came today - installed the thermostat in the wine cooler - spent 15 mins on the dryer - and wanted $150.
