Andrea worked so hard in helping me pick my fabric, price and completion of the job. When I walked into the studio I can see many of the pieces that were already completed so I felt very confident it would come out great but I could never imagined that my 38 year old sectional would come out more beautiful than I could imagine. Andrea and her staff were so accommodating and pleasant and I highly recommend them. Thank you all!

Yuri, who I believe is one of the owners, was incredible to work with. The measurements were spot on, the craftsmanship was top-notch, and the attention to detail was exceptional -- the kind of quality that truly elevates the finished product. A few years ago, we used a different upholstery company in Ossining that unfortunately ruined our furniture (they'll remain nameless). It was a costly lesson that sometimes you really do get what you pay for. With Ella's Design Studio, you get the best -- skilled work, professionalism, and beautiful results. Highly recommended!

Since I travel the Globe, to worn strife areas, looking for surplus equipment, I have accumulated…read moremy share of worldly artifacts belonging, of course, to another World. Some of those include Persian rugs, found where else, but Persia. And recently when I needed one of those acquisitions trimmed and cleaned, where else to go, but Baseer's in Larchmont. First of all, people come to me because of my deep knowledge of surplus equipment and the market value for key components needed to launch insurrections. And people go to Baseer's because of their knowledge of the finely woven market. But here's another even better reason to go. It's a family business. And the best businesses are a family business. Your first time being there you may see Baseer's wife. May even see their kids studying and talking. And then what you should also know that you won't learn in an ad or elsewhere is that Baseer goes the extra mile. When I called late on a Saturday after he had left the store and closed it, when I was in need of the carpet for that evening, Baseer heard it in my voice and went back, got my trimmed and cleaned carpet and brought it to my home. Wow. Now that's Customer Service at its's best. Not some 1-800 treatment. It's like, when I asked my friend, if the Chinese takeout restaurant down the block from his store was any good? He said, "I don't know. But the same family has been running it for more than 10 years, so it must be pretty good." And that's all you need to know about Baseer's Rugs. The same family run store. For Years. In Larchmont.

I left the rug on the floor for a few weeks hoping the ripples would settle, but they did not. I asked Baseer to take a look and fix the issue, but he denied that the rippling had anything to do with the washing--which is simply not true, as the rug was perfectly fine beforehand. He then charged me an additional $175 to "fix" the rug, but he was unable to do so. The rug still has ripples, and now it is also stretched out of shape (see pictures). When I confronted him about the poor quality of work, instead of taking responsibility, he repeatedly accused me of lying, raised his voice, and even said he never works with people of my background and nationality. This was despite the fact that I had already paid for his poor service and was only voicing a legitimate concern about customer service. To be fair, Baseer's prices are reasonable, but that is probably the only positive thing about his business. Unfortunately, the rug in question had deep sentimental value for us, and now it has been ruined. All he did was accuse me of lying while charging me for services he did not properly deliver. Absolutely terrible customer service. Stay away at all costs.

White-Glove Service from Start to Finish!…read more We had an excellent experience with DAS Furniture Assembly & Installation, and I can't recommend them highly enough. They built custom shelving for a built-in storage closet used to support heavy glassware and china for events and hosting. From the very beginning, Dean, the owner, stood out immediately. While several handyman companies responded to my inquiry, Dean was the only one who offered a complimentary site visit so his team could fully understand the scope of the project and take precise measurements of the existing shelving. That alone gave me confidence that DAS would take our project seriously. Dean was extremely responsive and communicative every step of the way. After the site visit, the quote we received felt thoughtful, fair, and clearly tailored to our needs, not a generic estimate. As the workplace coordinator, I truly appreciated how easy it was to coordinate details like insurance, loading dock access, and a very specific installation timeline. DAS worked seamlessly with our schedule and completed the entire project within a week, at a time that minimized disruption to the office. The quote, invoice, and payment process were all clear, straightforward, and professional, which made everything stress-free. While a member of the DAS team handled the consultation, Dean himself came on installation day, completed the work, cleaned as he went, and even disposed of the old shelving. The attention to detail and care taken with our office space really reflected a white-glove level of service. Dean is friendly, professional, clearly very experienced, and it's obvious from speaking to him that DAS handles a wide range of office logistics and setup projects with skill and pride. The finished shelving is sturdy, beautifully done, and exactly what we needed. Outstanding experience from start to finish! I'll absolutely be using DAS again for future projects and recommend them without hesitation. Thank you Dean and team for making my job easier and delivering such high-quality results!
