Still, they were able to accommodate my father and I. Thuan Pletcher is the manager here and she had a spot open since I had my father go first opening. I got lucky because she knows what she's doing. We had a conversation about how I'd like my hair cut, what would look good, and the way she would get me in and out of the chair asap while making sure I was happy. She's super personable, friendly, and funny too. We discussed my heritage and she was understanding of why I have my parents with me here in GA. Laughed at my jokes, which always is nice, . I walked out of there and I was very pleased with the results. It's always a toss up when you go to a new spot, or even go to a place like great clips because chances are you're not going to be 100% happy with the results if you're not going to your usual stylist. HOWEVER, I was jacked up in the best possible way. Just the way I needed the cut, the sides blended in nicely since it grows out sideways from the side of my head instead of down, with gravity. My bangs and top were cut enough to grow out by the time I head off on vacation and will be great for photos. The cost is on the higher side, but when you're pleased with the results it feels like you're making a sports gamble/bet you know you'll win. My father is loyal and may go back to the old barber, but she's elderly and may not be around long term. So I have a choice, which is never a bad thing- and it's so much closer than Duluth from Cumming. Thank you Thuan for making me look and feel good! I've been a customer of Gino's for well over a decade and have always been satisfied . . . until…read morerecently. Gino, the barber I use, is no longer "in charge" of his own shop, having turned operations over to his son (who is NOT a barber). The mix of barbers now varies dramatically, with a significant number using plastic guides rather than scissors. You can get that kind of haircut at Great Clips, and not have to pay $40 or $50. The son dropped the Booker reservation system with a low-level substitute. But it does not work properly. Even if you choose a certain barber, you could end up scheduled with someone else. And now, he has even taken out the vacuum. So if you go to Gino's with a suit, which I often do, you end up with hair on your suit all afternoon. As much as much as I've enjoyed Gino himself over the years, i can no longer recommend the barbershop for others. Gino is now only cutting hair two days a week. And so if I can't book him, I go to another "vintage" shop in Sandy Springs. Gino's barbershop simply is not what it used to be.

I made an appointment for a haircut and beard trim using an App and was taken in for my appointment bang on time.
