So in desperation we reached out to Greg Reynolds at Furniture Works to see if he could help us restore the piece. After a week or so, he returns it and it is impossible to see where the damage was repaired. So here we are 15 years later, and we have a wrought iron dining chair that broke, with no idea how to get it repaired so I reached out to Greg again for help. Once again a week later it was fixed and impossible to see where the repair was made. Greg is a magician, and a walk through his shop in Monroe is like a walk through history looking at some of the historic pieces he's currently working on. We highly recommend his work.

Be aware: it is a…read moreconfusing little parking lot with several other businesses there, but if you are looking for Micalizzi, make a left when you pull in and it is the sign that says "Antiques". Admittedly, I was looking for a different antiques shop, but I'm happy I stayed and looked around anyway. I was a little creeped out at first because no one was there when I walked in. I called a few times but still no answer. I felt really weird walking around and thought I was going to creep up on someone so I literally just kept calling until I found someone. Turns out they were working on some upholstery work in the back. The owner was super nice and told me to look around and let her know if I had questions. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but these two small little jars/vases caught my eye and I am a big sucker for little chachkies. Nothing in the store was priced so I took them back to her to find out their cost. She was able to let them go for $4 each, so I considered them my find of the day! They sit very proudly on the center of my coffee table, adorned in tiny daisies. She had a lot of great furniture but I didn't have a need so I didn't look too thoroughly.
