I have used this business on more than one occasion. The products used are top notch and Jay's skill level (Installing) is hard to beat. I had an issue with some work that was done recently and to my surprise a very weak attempt was made to address the issue. I don't have time for nonsense and will take my hard earned money elsewhere. A good business is made up of many things and customer service is one of them. I am sure no sleep will be lost over this review by Jay but bad reviews are not good for business. read more

While looking for somewhere to wrap my Model Y, I wanted to ensure that I found a shop that had experience with Teslas, along with providing quality work. Thankfully after calling around the area and getting multiple bids, I stumbled upon Jay's shop where the price was fair and the communication was on point. Jay took his time doing a full matte PPF wrap on my car and I was more than pleased with the outcome! Additionally, he threw in some goodies, that helped improve the overall 'stealth' aesthetic I was going for. I really appreciate that extra touch as it shows he cares about the project from both a business standpoint and customer satisfaction. I also had tint installed on all of my windows, save for the top panoramic glass due to it not being needed. While there was a slight imperfection in the front windshield, Jay was able to correct it without issue and made sure I was taken care of. What a horrible waste of time and money. I paid $750 for a full interior detail and 3 windows tinted. Jay calls this place a detail studio but can't even manage to clean glass properly. When asked to have it corrected the owner says he can't clean it. I removed the film myself because I was embarrassed by their bush league work and the contaminate came right off with the film. How hard did you really try? Owner still doesn't bother to correct his mistake. If your idea of a detail is a little dish soap and a sponge this place is for you. If your looking for a place that takes such pride in their work that they'll just film over whatever is on your window, this place is also for you. Scheduling my Model 3 to get tinted was fast and I was expecting it to be a long wait because of COVID but he got us scheduled in less than a week! He was super informative and will provide you with picture comparisons so you can gauge what you like. I like that he wasn't trying to up sell you or coax you into paying for the most expensive thing. During the appointment he even sent progress pictures and you can tell that this is his passion and truly cares about his business and his customers. Jay engaged in deceptive business practices, installing a different (cheaper) paint protection film than the one he had agreed to provide. In addition, his workmanship was inadequate, resulting in minor damage to my vehicle, and peeling of the film he installed. This required multiple repeat visits for film correction, with some continued peeling thereafter. More information: I paid Jay to install a SunTek Reaction Paint Protection Film to my new car. Initially, I was planning to have the film installed over only part of the vehicle. However, when he offered to make a deal with me and apply the film to the entire vehicle at a lower cost than his competitors--PLUS add ceramics on top of it--I was convinced to spend the extra money. I was disappointed to find Jay hadn't given me a deal at all. Rather, he simply installed a cheaper film (SunTek Ultra), directly breaching our agreement. I brought this concern to Jay, who refused to disclose how much money he saved from his deceptive business practice. He became defensive and angry. He failed to lower the price or otherwise rectify the situation in any way. Unfortunately, Jay's workmanship resulted in some minor damage to the vehicle and peeling of the film in multiple locations; pictures of some of these defects are attached. The peeling film required several repeat visits to rectify, and continued to peel despite these visits. To Jay's credit, he didn't completely leave me out to dry and has fixed a good amount of the peeling, at least as of the time this review was posted--though there is still unresolved peeling to date and the damages were never addressed. His customer service was also unsatisfactory, with delayed response times and ignored messages. In sum, I regret using Jay's services and wish I had gone with one of his competitors. It is to be seen how he will respond if new or worsening issues with the film arise. read more

His passion for his business and detailing was clear after I gave him a call for a quote... after 30 minutes discussing my paint, the types of tint he offered, and PPF options. I knew that even without yet having received the quote, this was the place to go. Jay spent the time to explain everything to me and give a package that fit my budget. The best part was that not once did he try to upsell me into something that I could not afford. While my car was in his shop, Jay went above and beyond by texting me updates with pictures so that I could see the progress. He makes it feel that you are his top priority and only customer. I searched the Internet for 3M auto tint installers. Jay's Detail Studio came up along with 5 star reviews. after receiving a rough estimate over the phone from Jay, I took my 2020 Chevrolet Crew Cab to his shop to have all windows and a sunroof tinted with the 3M ceramic tint. The job took him less time than I anticipated, but the quality of his work and attention to detail was phenomenal. I also took it back to have the windshield tinted a few days later as well. Jay is a car enthusiast and a experienced professional. I brought my charger in for full front paint protection film, a polish and cquartz treatment. The car looks better than when I pulled off the dealer lot. He will take the time to educate you through the products and come up with a way to get what you want. With this type of work, choosing the installer is critical. He custom wrapped the hood and fenders instead of using kits that don't extend over the edges and leave a unsightly line. The finish was extremely glossy and free of bubbles. If you are picky about your cars, this is where you want to go. He even took on some vinyl application work and updated me throughout the whole process with pictures and issues that were resolved. This is not a business where they mass produce their work. He personally works on the vehicles and closely supervises his team. You can tell that he genuinely likes working on these cars. During the process they found some pink over spray in the rear where I had my rear bumper replaced and painted by a dealer body shop. (The car is grey). His team corrected the paint free of charge and even threw in protection film over the A pillars and front of the roof as a Veterans day gift. There are lots of choices in SA for detail work. There is one shop that stands out as the very best in town. JAYS DETAIL is the place to go! Jay is an artist and perfectionist with the attitude that he isn't happy until the customer is. I am very, very picky about my cars. My wife's BMW is black and had the obvious paint swirls, when Jay was done, the car looked amazing. The paint perfect - better than showroom new! Jay also worked over my black Mercedes SUV. The paint was super shinny, swirl free, and with the paint sealer he put on there, it beads water like crazy. The black cars stay cleaner longer and are much easier to wash. Jay also put high end window tint on the Mercedes and it is perfect. His prices are fair, he gets your auto done in a timely manner, he is a pleasure to work with, and he does amazing job. I highly recommend JAYS DETAIL to anyone that wants perfection and has been disappointed by other detail shops or over-charged for average work.
