When selling goods and services in this economy, you had best be above average! This dental practice is below AVERAGE. I was fitted for a bridge, and my bill was over $2 thousand. I paid in cash, regrettably. Had I used a credit card; I would have had possible recourse. The 1st bridge I bought, was defective. It only lasted a few months. The replacement cost me hundreds, this one lasted 21 days! I Informed the practice about the inferior product and skill. The receptionist telephoned back as I was explaining my issue, and she quipped, ''Dr. Strand wishes that we part ways,'' Stunned by that slap in the face, I told her I would be complaining to the BOARD Of DENTISTRY, She said that's fine...and hung up.! A good dentist is caring and has the integrity to make a patient's needs a strong priority. After that rude telephone conversation,I have been scorned. To be perfectly frank, save your time and money, and find a dental practice THAT ADHERES TO THE CODE OF ETHICS, set forth by the MN Board of Dentistry.

She was given another appointment weeks out. After 3 days of no sleep, food, or water due to overwhelming pain, my mother was admitted to the hospital where she stayed for 6 days. Upon her discharge, as I was coordinating the removal of this tooth, I finally got a call back from Strand who said he no longer felt comfortable removing the tooth "with all this stuff going on." He referred her to an oral surgeon which would have again pushed out the appointment weeks and would require travel which my mother would not be able to tolerate. I then had her records transferred to Lifesmiles where the good doctor removed said tooth 2 days later. Eric Strand's negligence and incompetence is inexcusable; it makes me sad that there are people like this allowed to work in any form of healthcare.
